I really wanted to like this book.

It's a great book title to sell books but it doesn't really seem appropriate for this book. A better title would have been "Don't Follow Your Passion." The shock value would have sold books and it would have given you a better idea of the subject material.

I agree with the author's assumption that encouraging people to follow their passion is not sound advice. I can agree that for some this would lead to a life of unfulfilled dreams and unmet potential. The thing that really bothers me is that almost all of the examples of people he uses to make his argument for building career "capitol" until there's enough of it to invest in an opportunity ("mission") could easily have been arguments for the passion theory. If you don't agree, listen again and substitute the word "mission" for "passion." People passing on good jobs for ones that aligned with their mission (passion) better?

Finally, the examples/stories and book in general was just too long and clumsy. Using strange language to describe theories and assumptions.

If my review sounds off or punctuation/grammar off I apologize. This is the first negative review I have submitted. I am not a writer. Many people have favorably reviewed the book so you may like it. I consume as much; investing, self help, goal setting, business, real estate investing, inspirational and motivational content as I can find time for. Generally I'm happy if I find one nugget in a book that I can add to my collection. It wasn't here for me and for the first time I returned a book. Thanks Audible.

Good book for the beginner

I enjoyed this beginner bee book, (have listened to it a dozen times) the only drawbacks are that it is British and some info isn't easily absorbed by this American. For instance, temperatures are reported in Celsius, seasons I'm not sure if they correspond to my location. And he uses British national hives instead of the Langstroth that most Americans use. Well worth the $ for the info

Where does The Entrepreneur Roller Coaster rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

One of the best motivational books I've read. I plan to listen to it 2-3x a year.
