Historia
Science is a force for good in the world—at least usually. But sometimes, when obsession gets the better of scientists, they twist a noble pursuit into something sinister. Under this spell, knowledge isn’t everything, it’s the only thing—no matter the cost. Bestselling author Sam Kean tells the true story of what happens when unfettered ambition pushes otherwise rational men and women to cross the line in the name of science, trampling ethical boundaries and often committing crimes in the process.

Fulfilling
Revisado: 09-02-22
There is something very special about this book and the connection it creates through the hardships of others to oneself. I have reread this book several times and each time I get some new insight or appreciation of my own life and I believe it to be one of those books that will have a positive effect on those who read it.

Repetitive

this one wasn't for me, it was repetitive and I felt some of the ideas were skewed to fit into the authors little box of ideals that they believed in rather than what scope it could be applied into.

Inverted Hunger Games
Revisado: 03-22-22
This book has some really interesting ideas and some severe flaws that were hard to overlook, but I enjoyed the ride. If I were to describe what this book is, I would say it's simply an Inverted Hunger games with out the gripping, crushing emotions that the characters must go through. Its worth a read, but its certainly not special, especially if you can guess the key plot reveals at the beginning of the book.

I made it about 8 hours and it was painful, I gave up because I couldn't handle the Narrators always intense up and downs, it is just not the right for for this Mark Twain book.

Legendary
Revisado: 12-11-21
An Inspiring story that comes off at first as just a story, but turns into so much more, it teaches you about pursuit and what it takes to chace after our dreams and that ignoring our passions and those dreams may in time cause the voices that called you to action to slowly fade away into a lack luster life. This is one of my favorite books of all time and the story behind its writing is as inspiring as its contents.

Mona Lisa St. James made a deathbed promise that she would do anything to save her mother's art gallery. Unfortunately, not only is The Red painted red, but it's in the red. Just as she realizes she has no choice but to sell it, a mysterious man comes in after closing time and makes her an offer: He will save The Red if she agrees to submit to him for the period of one year. The man is handsome, English, and terribly tempting - but surely her mother didn't mean for Mona to sell herself to a stranger.
