Historia
Albert Camus' The Stranger is one of the most widely read novels in the world, with millions of copies sold. It stands as perhaps the greatest existentialist tale ever conceived, and is certainly one of the most important and influential books ever produced. Now, for the first time, this revered masterpiece is available as an unabridged audio production.

exceed expectations
Revisado: 01-29-15
Would you consider the audio edition of The Stranger to be better than the print version?
I didn't have high hopes for this short novella, but was pleasantly surprised. I had not real awareness of existentialism prior to reading this book, but apparently this book was the front-runner of the concept. The main character really just doesn't care about much, will go along with whatever, then well...you can read it. It really is a book about surrealism and how people judge the character not for something atrocious, but for a simple social expectation.

Historia
Sixteenth-century Spanish gentleman Don Quixote, fed by his own delusional fantasies, takes to the road in search of chivalrous adventures. But his quest leads to more trouble than triumph. At once humorous, romantic, and sad, Don Quixote is a literary landmark. This fresh edition, by award-winning translator Edith Grossman, brings the tale to life as never before.

Just couldn't endure
Revisado: 01-29-15
Would you try another book from Miguel de Cervantes and Edith Grossman (translator) and/or George Guidall?
I just couldn't get through it. I made it about 40% through, but the stories appeared to just digress into these random tangents with absolutely no perceived allegorical value. I just don't get the point of the worlds second most widely read book. Great delivery thought. Enthusiastic reading and a wonderful job of reading the different characters...I just couldn't endure the meandering of the story.

Too much fun!
Revisado: 01-29-15
What did you love best about Confessions of a D-List Supervillain?
Oh man. Witty, creative and down-right fun to listen to. I don't think a book has ever made me laugh so much, and it's not a comedy. I love the pop culture references. I already purchased and downloaded Origins of a D-List Supervillain (The prequel) and look forward to it. Don't have expectations of literary genius here. This is more of a comic book story laid out in a somewhat adult context. I love that the protagonist is so flawed and cynical. Just great. Bravo!
What was one of the most memorable moments of Confessions of a D-List Supervillain?
"The two hottest women on the planet, and I now have sex tapes with both of them" (paraphrased)
"Come on String-bean!"
What about Jeffrey Kafer and Talmadge Ragan ’s performance did you like?
Wow! Good tone, great inflection and he could even pull of the mechanical sounds of voice over radio. Also, great job on reading the Andy Droid dialog.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
LAUGH! Giggle! Chuckle! All of the above.

Wonderful!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I really loved this book. Great overview of essentially urban geography and urban history. I really appreciate the way the book is organized by different aspects of the city (Train station, slums, marketplaces, etc.). Author provides wonderful historical context balanced with current urban trends and future speculation of urban life and development. I would recommend it for any student or practitioner of geography, anthropology or sociology.

Really enjoyable
Revisado: 01-29-15
If you could sum up Understanding Cultural and Human Geography in three words, what would they be?
This is a great series of lectures. I'm only about lecture eight (of 24) but I look forward to my commute just so I can listen-in. The topics are engaging, the delivery is flawless and I really enjoy it so far.
What about Professor Paul Robbins’s performance did you like?
This guy really knows his stuff. He has completed on-the-ground research in India and has great ways of relating the concepts to actually situations.

good story -- bad narrator
Revisado: 08-13-14
What didn’t you like about Ax Norman’s performance?
Clear and crisp voice, but dull, dry and monotone. No inflection of tone or voice in the different characters.
