Consider the $20 bill. It has no more value, as a simple slip of paper, than Monopoly money. Yet even children recognize that tearing one into small pieces is an act of inconceivable stupidity. What makes a $20 bill actually worth $20? In the third volume of his best-selling Naked series, Charles Wheelan uses this seemingly simple question to open the door to the surprisingly colorful world of money and banking.

A Story told many times many ways
Revisado: 05-01-18
I have listened to many Books about Money , its History and Institution's behind it. What I like about this book is that the Author managed to write very well unbiased. He succeeded to write interestingly so that you keep listening and tied the story together that makes sense.
Highly recommended to Money buffs that would like there knowledge up.

OK, I have been a member for many years. my 40+ books mostly on money, banks, educational is a library that I am proud of. But believe me, once in a while I come across a book that is just over the top. In this case NOT in a good way. The information in this book is minimal, but seems to me a huge ego trip by the Author. Save your money!

More importantly, it shows you how to protect your hard-earned cash from the bankers' disastrous monetary policies and how to come out a winner in the irresponsible game of chicken they're playing with the global financial system.

Revisado: 01-24-15
In the last year I started to read books about money...all in all about 9 and I can say that most of them starting to repeat themself . NOT here, the Author truly found some new aspects and the best part is you don't have to be an economist to understand the connections. Highly recommend read.
