Historia
The first time I met the boys of the Zodiac Brotherhood, I was forced to my knees for the introduction. Still grieving the death of my parents, I was a young queen, a pawn in my uncle’s agenda for wealth and gain. As my guardian, he had the authority to arrange a marriage upon my 18th birthday.

Historia
Every hundred years, tradition dictates that all eligible females in Sweetwater assemble for the choosing ceremony. Two vampire kings have separate territories within the surrounding countryside. Both are eager to pick their future brides. What a waste of her freaking time. Tanya is among the many women at the choosing ceremony. As far as she's concerned it's an outdated, sexist event and if it wasn't mandatory she so wouldn't be here. It's not important that the two males are ridiculously rich and handsome.

Dirty and interesting. Different twist on the supernatural. I have listened to this over and over and over. Her other books are great too and all the species intertwine for crossover stories.

Although I cried through most of this story, I really did enjoy it. Once again Albom gives us a peek into what some may see and others hope is the afterlife. A journey of remembrance and forgiveness. this story will cause many to reflect on their own life journey and to realize the true meaning of each action and reaction they’ve experienced. I 100% recommend this story and all the others by the same author.

Historia
On a foggy summer night, 11 people - 10 privileged, one down-on-his-luck painter - depart Martha's Vineyard on a private jet headed for New York. Sixteen minutes later, the unthinkable happens: The plane plunges into the ocean. The only survivors are the painter Scott Burroughs and a four-year-old boy, who is now the last remaining member of an immensely wealthy and powerful media mogul's family. Was it by chance that so many influential people perished? Or was something more sinister at work?

Anti climatic ending

For a book with so much detail, pointing the finger in so many directions, the ending was surprisingly dull and disappointing.

Historia
The folks in Mike Erikson's small New England town would say he's just your average, everyday guy. And that's exactly how Mike likes it. Sure, the life he's chosen isn't much of a challenge to someone with his unique gifts, but he's content with his quiet and peaceful existence. That is, until an old friend presents him with an irresistible mystery, one that Mike is uniquely qualified to solve.

Historia
Lyra's story begins in the Haven Institute, a building tucked away on a private island off the coast of Florida that from a distance looks serene and even beautiful. But up close, the locked doors, military guards, and biohazard suits tell a different story. In truth Haven is a clandestine research facility where thousands of replicas, or human models, are born, raised, and observed. When a surprise attack is launched on Haven, two of its young experimental subjects - Lyra, or 24, and the boy known only as 72 - manage to escape.

A Quick Listen
Revisado: 10-08-16
This story is told from two different points of view. I recommend listening to it by bouncing back and forth between the two characters. I listened to Lira's story start to finish and then Gemma's from start to finish. I really wish I had listened by bouncing back and forth. It would have made the story more suspenseful.

Ver Good!
Revisado: 10-21-15
I liked this story very much. An interesting fantasy storyline. I have only one complaint: the narrator. She doesn't really have much in the way of 'range' if you will. She has a 'female' voice and a 'male' voice, no matter how many of each are in the story. I have listened to another series narrated by Kate Rudd and was disappointed to hear just exactly the same two vocalizations of the male and female characters.

Historia
A mysterious island. An abandoned orphanage. A strange collection of very curious photographs. As our story opens, a horrific family tragedy sets 16-year-old Jacob journeying to a remote island off the coast of Wales, where he discovers the ruins of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. As Jacob explores its abandoned bedrooms and hallways, it becomes clear that the children were more than just peculiar. They may have been dangerous. And somehow—impossible though it seems—they may still be alive.

Very Peculiar!
Revisado: 09-14-15
I really enjoyed this story. The descriptions of the different characters, locations and actions were so vivid that I felt like I 'watched' this story rather than listened to a narration.
Jesse Bernstein did an A+ job of further making this story come to life for me! The voices and inflections were spot on. Can't wait to 'read' the others in this series.
Thanks Audible!
