This book was just what I was hoping it would be! David Christensen was one of my professors in undergrad and his class was one of 3 that were life changing for me. The other two classes were in my major. At the time, his class gave me a better understanding of myself and who and how I wanted to be in the world. This book is based on what he taught us in that class and I’m going to create an updated creed document. I accomplished many of my “A goals” (life goals) and many of my “Z goals” (spice of life) and am looking to revisit these ideas at this time in my life. I’ve done a lot already in my professional career and I’m feeling stagnant so I’m turning to this book to help me once again to work on my direction. This book is of value to those in college who are figuring out their path, for any of us who are feeling stagnant or looking for meaning or change, for anyone who is in transition, or anyone who wants to be their best self. This book helps you identify what values are most important to you, goals for your life (A and Z), figuring out who is on your “board of directors” (can be living or dead) to help give you added perspective, and figuring out your “song”. Those are just a few of the principles and I can’t recommend this book or this author highly enough. I’m so happy to have rediscovered this book and these principles at this time in my life. If you apply the principles in this book it can be life changing for you. I’m hoping to implement these principles once again in my life and to review them on a daily basis for my 1% (14 minutes/day). I also give 5 stars to the reader who did a great job. 5 stars!!
