This book has some extremely sexually explicit parts. I’m not bothered by it personally but I wish I had a heads up. I quickly had to turn the story off when my kids walked into a room.
The story is ok... it kept me interested until the end but I won’t read it again. I’ll probably forget about it by next year.

I don’t understand what the big deal about this book is. I thought it was gonna be about a little boy descending into mental illness but it’s a take a huge left turn. I feel like this book could’ve ended 100 chapters before it did. I feel like it was just a way for the author to put a lot of imagery and cliché bullshit into a book. A lot of unnecessary details. It was ridiculous. It made me so angry that It caught my attention enough for me to actually finish it but I do not recommend anyone reading this book. I’m so disappointed.

I loved this book

The fact that Trevor Noah reads it is the best, but the story is amazing. His mother is probably the strongest, most loving, god fearing woman I’ve ever had the pleasure of learning about.
