Worthy Sequel to Presumed Innocent
Revisado: 03-16-14
Presumed Innocent was the best legal thriller I have read. Innocent is an equally great windup to the Rusty Sabich story. Scott Turow is a very accomplished writer. The story has many twists and turns. The characters really resonate and come alive. The factoids about the law and drugs are interesting.

Historia
Four years ago, LAPD detective Harry Bosch was on a movie set, asking questions about the murder of a young production assistant, when an armored car arrived with $2 million cash for use in a heist scene. In a life-imitates-art firestorm, a gang of masked men converged on the delivery and robbed the armored car with guns blazing. The crime was never resolved, and the young woman's murder was in the stack of unsolved-case files Bosch carried home the night he left the LAPD.

Well-written detective story

This book is very well-written. Finely drawn characters and a flawed but decent hero. The plot is intriguing and there are a lot of colorful characters.

Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick’s clever and beautiful wife disappears. Where does Gone Girl rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It is one of the 2 top books I have listened to.

Have you listened to any of Julia Whelan and Kirby Heyborne ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No, it just held my interest all the way through.

I know that people make fun of this series. It is not the best-written series of books. However, it clearly strikes a chord with a large number of people, including me. I am not a semi-literate teen; I am 63 years old and a practicing attorney.
