Amazing!

I couldn’t wait to get and my car and go to work just so I could listen to this book. The characters and plot keep you wanting more and the narrator does an excellent job. I would definitely recommend any of Nelson DeMille’s books!

Historia
"I moved to New York City a month ago to become the best journalist the world had ever seen. To find the greatest stories never told. And now here I am, Henry Parker, 24 years old and weary beyond rational thought, a bullet one trigger-pull from ending my life."

Disappointing
Revisado: 10-06-08
I had high hopes for this book because it seemed to be getting such good reviews. But this story is too far-fetched and too predictable. The author took easy solutions for problems the characters got into or just ignored obvious solutions in a weak attempt to create a plot.
The high point is the reader of this audiobook did a great job. Hopefully he has done other books with more interesting stories since I would like to hear him again.

Historia
Rick Dockery was the third-string quarterback for the Cleveland Browns. In a championship game, to the surprise and dismay of everyone, Rick actually got into the game and then provided what was arguably the worst single performance in the history of the NFL. Overnight, he became a national laughingstock and, of course, was immediately cut by the Browns and shunned by all other teams. But against enormous odds, Arnie finally locates another team that will have him: the mighty Panthers of Parma, Italy.

Will Leave You Hungry

I really enjoyed this story. Lots of fun, interesting characters. The descriptions of the food made you want to travel to Italy and spend long hours eating and drinking. Not sure if this is a story doubling as a travelguide or a travelguide with a good story.
If you love football, love food, and are looking for a light story this is a good one.

Historia
Jason Bourne takes on a mission to rescue his only friend in the CIA, Martin Lindros, who disappeared in Africa while tracking shipments of yellowcake uranium. Once safely back in America, Lindros persuades Bourne to help track the money trail of terrorists buying the nuclear material in Odessa. But once there, Bourne is hampered by confusing flashbacks, and he wonders: is someone brainwashing him in order to throw him off the trail? Worse, is the man he saved in Africa really Martin Lindros?

Lame
Revisado: 03-21-08
I enjoy thriller/mystery stories and am willing to allow the author some license to make his hero somewhat superhuman. Having abilities and knowledge that are extraordinary but Lustbader made Bourne beyond belief. At one point he even hotwires an elevator - do they teach that at spy school? And yet he is amazingly stupid. Even when Bourne had beat the enemy he continues to put himself and the world at peril for no reason other than to have another impossible fight scene. The pitfalls were so predictable and lame that it got tiring to listen too. I was beginning to hope Bourne would get killed and put me out of my misery.
