Incredible journey

Rob’s stories are surprisingly filled with depth and insight. It was a treat hearing it read by him. I was taken by his wisdom and out look. There are shocking facets of his life that he offers in this beautiful account and actor journey. His success, famous friends and luxurious lifestyle seem anchored by things that more lasting. His recovery and values stood as his stories unfolded . And I was personally moved by his shared love for his wife and sons.

Intersections of Cross

This book was incredibly insightful on the work, theological implications, practical application and power of Christ's work on the cross. Though written strictly from catholic perspective, as a Protestant I gained much personal connection with Jesus through this book and enjoyed a new perspective of how the Cross and Jesus' resurrection intersect in my life daily. There is much to ponder...I plan to listen again.

Classic revisited!

I fell in love with Anne with an e as a child from the books and movies. Hearing this story again years later was a delight and reminded me of the dear friends in her story I adored so many years ago.

Powerfully authentic and inspiring

I was incredibly moved by Kelly's story and how she bravely (and in many places vulnerably) offered in this book. I related with much of her story. I also appreciate her brand of "feminism" doesn't mean killing off femininity or emasculating men. She is both a powerful, successful professional woman and also a soft and fully alive as female. She is Pro-strong women and pro-strong men. I loved it. And enjoyed hearing her read her story.
Settle for more inspired me!

A book for every person on planet!

Nearly a decade after I first read this book, I listened on audible. Recently I sensed I tug to revisit the story of The Shack. Today I recognize the tug was an invitation. The book was significant the first time I read it and seemed broadened my view of Trinitarian theology, God's radical love and His delight in His image bearing children.

This time listening, (again overwhelmed by reminders of God's love, mercy and grace) there were sections that felt as if God were speaking directly to me. I felt as if Mac's story was helping me see God is still fighting for my healing, wholeness and will eventually redeem my great sadness... And He longs for me to forgive those who have wounded and betrayed me. It was more powerful this time! I'm so grateful for the beautiful imagery and powerful spiritual symbolism that literally drove through thick walls eventually penetrating my heart like nothing else.

This is a must read for every person that has ever faced a loss or tragedy of any kind. Moreover, this is a rare book that I think is truly for every person on the planet as it speaks to universal truths-- truths that are true for everyone.

I'm deeply thankful for this incredible work. And thankful for Paul Young's journey that eventually led him to write this powerful story!

Captivating from start to finish

It's hard to put into words how impactful this story has been in my heart! I believe this book was used to stir up broken parts of my past and give me hope for a redeemed future. It's an epic love story with rich imagery of God's epic love story for humanity. I'm thankful for all this beautifully powerful story stirred in me.
