Historia
Most books about the history of humanity pursue either a historical or a biological approach, but Dr. Yuval Noah Harari breaks the mold with this highly original book. From examining the role evolving humans have played in the global ecosystem to charting the rise of empires, Sapiens integrates history and science to reconsider accepted narratives, connect past developments with contemporary concerns, and examine specific events within the context of larger ideas.

Historia
Finite games, like football or chess, have known players, fixed rules, and a clear endpoint. The winners and losers are easily identified. Infinite games, games with no finish line, like business or politics, or life itself, have players who come and go. The rules of an infinite game are changeable, while infinite games have no defined endpoint. There are no winners or losers - only ahead and behind. The question is, how do we play to succeed in the game we’re in? In this revelatory new audiobook, Simon Sinek offers a framework for leading with an infinite mindset.

Wise words that last
Revisado: 03-31-21
This is a very helpful book that help me re-frame what winning means – too often in business, we are taught that we need to be the best, we need to beat the competition etc. etc. The reality is that winning is not enough – we need to continuously strive to be better every day and have a long-term mindset that empowers our employees, maintains integrity, and allows us to achieve not for the sake of achievement but for the greater purpose of humanity. Great read.

Historia
Robert Iger became CEO of The Walt Disney Company in 2005, during a difficult time. Competition was more intense than ever, and technology was changing faster than at any time in the company’s history. His vision came down to three clear ideas: Recommit to the concept that quality matters, embrace technology instead of fighting it, and think bigger - think global - and turn Disney into a stronger brand in international markets.

Simply amazing
Revisado: 12-17-19
This story takes us from Bob Iger’s earliest days in his career where he was a victim of sexual harassment to the growth path he was on, to the merger he was a part of, the the Aquarian’s and relationships with Steve Jobs and Pixar, then Marvel, and finally Star Wars. We are inside the board room, in his acquisition meetings, reading his calendar on busy days, and overall being right by his side as his most eventful days unfold. Masterfully written, beautifully narrated, and easily my favorite book of the year (along with Shoe Dog by Phil Knight, CEO of Nike). Hope you enjoy this one as much as I did.
