Incredible story with marvelous narration

Well worth the credit. A different and beautiful love story. However there are frank descriptions of sex in a rainbow of situations. It’s not done for thrills. The sec in this book is part of the story. A big part.

Loved it.

I loved the story. I have so many questions. Can hardly wait to start the next book in the series. Narrator was adequate but could have held more attention with suspense rather than understatement. In fact, since the main character is a woman, why not have a female narrator? I suggest Joanna Parker. But a terrific story. Well written fully developed characters.

Enjoyable with some annoying flaws

I enjoyed the books quite a bit. The premise was interesting and the story was engaging. A good editor was needed to eliminate some obvious flaws. One of them was the way Zugg constantly writes “he raised and lowered his chin” or “she wagged her chin back and forth” etc. I guess the writer didn’t want to write “nodded” or “shook her head”. But the constant reference to chin movements is odd and distracting. It’s almost as though the book was translated poorly to English by a nonnative speaker. But there were many historical details to interest me. I only wish Zugg had allowed the female characters to do more things. He has them more as ornamentals than fleshed-out characters It’s obvious the writer thinks women are very different than men. He’s so kind an

Slow. Boring.

Boring and slow beginning. One of the few books I cannot finish. On the other hand I think the reader was just fine. I’d never blame the dryness on her.

this is a whiny story shows a one-sided perspective of a social problem. I would have rather read a more balanced account. Even though this is fiction it reverberates on national news all the time. I would wish they would have chosen a more controversial case. This one is so one-sided. It doesn't explore the many things that happen during a police involved shooting
