Historia
Patrick O’Hara is back. It’s been five years since his summer as his niece Maisie and nephew Grant’s caretaker after their mother’s passing. The kids are back in Connecticut with their dad, and Patrick has relocated to New York to remain close by and relaunch his dormant acting career. After the run of his second successful sit-com comes to a close, Patrick feels on top of the world . . . professionally. But some things have had to take a back seat. Looking down both barrels at fifty, Patrick is single again after breaking things off with Emory.

A great read for summer, bookclubs, and breaking a slump
Revisado: 05-25-24
Rowley is an auto-buy author for me and the moment I heard he would be writing a sequel to The Guncle I started counting the days. This book is like a good vacation: adventure, romance, delicious food, beautiful views, and a little bit of melancholic homesickness.
I loved getting to see growth from each of the characters and getting to meet some amazing new ones like the Launt!
Once again, Rowley knocks the narration out of the park, even returning a little bit of Grant’s lisp that I loved from book one. I highly recommend this book for any one of any age. It’s a great read for summer, bookclubs, and breaking a slump!

Historia
Hugo Dodds is numb, grief-stricken, and haunted by the memories of a life taken from him all too soon. He tries to move forward, but cannot let go of Elizabeth—his beloved wife—after her passing. A late-night backyard encounter introduces Hugo to his eccentric new neighbor, Alice Primrose. She’s secretly a witch with the ability to make magical wine. Alice hides in Hugo’s small town after the betrayal of a former lover causes her to flee from the life she knows and loves.

A Perfect Blend of Witches, Wine, and Love
Revisado: 11-01-23
Loved
The characters - They were all so well developed and likable.
The setting - I love the small town vibe without too much of the typical small town tropes.
The Story - It was unique! I love that Hugo was immediately accepting of Alice. I love the role that winemaking played.
Liked
Flashbacks - early on in the book it wasn’t as easy to recognize flashbacks but once I got into it I could easily tell the moment someone slipped back in time.
This is a great year round magikal romance!
