Not my cup of tea
Revisado: 05-01-18
The synopsis is intriguing and the genre isn't my usual read, so of course I was excited to try something new and out of my norm. This isn't an easy review for me to write if I'm being completely honest. There were aspects of this story that I loved and then there were some that left a bad taste in my mouth.
Let me start off with what I loved about this story. I loved that Scott, the father, talked a lot about his faith in God and why God allows horrible things to happen to good people. I believe many people, including myself, have asked this many times throughout our lives. Without getting into any spoilers, the events that happen in the story, make it easy to empathize with the characters and they are very easy to relate to. You are left thinking, what would I do if this happened to me and my loved ones?Would I question God the same? Why does horrible and unimaginable things happen to good people and those who are guilty seem to get away with so much. The Premise of this story is amazing, yet fairly predictable.
Now on to the things I didn't like. TOO MUCH DETAIL!! The beginning seemed to drag on and on with unnecessary details about the family. I understand it was giving us a backstory and look into how happy and close they are as well as the other characters that the background was provided for. Transitioning from scene to scene, character to character was choppy. It would jump from one thing to another and there would be no transition whatsoever. There was so much going on throughout the last half of the book, it was hard to keep up with at times.
Last, but not least, I hated the ending. With so much talk about faith throughout the story, the ending was heartbreaking.
As I said in the beginning, this wasn't an easy review to write. Not knowing what is too much and what is not enough. I can't say I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't read the genre. If you are into mystery and phycological thrillers, this may be your cup of tea. With this being the authors first book, I won't rule out this author until I've read more of his work.

Emerson just made her dream come true as a professional cheerleader for her favorite pro football team. But even though the plus-size athlete is breaking down boundaries, she still has to contend with the massive rulebook. Carbs? Nope. Chocolate? Definitely not. Still, Emerson loves her curves, and she'll rock the hell out of this job even if it kills her. Except for one mandate that is easier read than done... No fraternizing with the players.

Unexpected and pleasently pleased!
Revisado: 01-07-18
Where does Fraternize rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
The reader had a great voice and was pleasant to listen to. Her performance was great and I would love to listen to more books read by her.
What other book might you compare Fraternize to and why?
Honestly, Fraternize is the first book I've listened to that is sport themed other than The Field Party by Abbi Glines.
Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?
I loved the main character Emerson. She is completely relatable and not the typical cheerleader stereotype. She is considered full size and she embraces it! She embodies the confidence that so many girls look for in themselves I think.
I also admire and hold a high respect for Miller!! I'm not so sure I would be as gracious and supportive if the love of my life was involved with someone else who I was close with. I think this speaks volumes of how much he loves Emerson and that fact that he wants her to be happy regardless who she chooses!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes! Absolutely! I couldn't get enough of this book and I can't wait for the next book in the series to come out!
Any additional comments?
As much as I love and rooted for Miller and Emerson, I also was rooting for Grant and Emerson!!

Historia
For most, a plane crash means the end of life. For Dusti Dawson, it's just the beginning...Dusti and her sister Batina survived the crash, thanks to a couple of brothers who are equal parts menacing and muscled. She'd be grateful...if they hadn't turned out to be delusional kidnappers, who believe Dusti's grandfather is some monstrous halfbreed creature bent on murder. Turns out Vampires, Lycans, and Gargoyles do exist - and they've been crossbreeding to form two hybrid races.

Vampires, Lykings, Gargoyles Oh MY!
Revisado: 01-04-18
Where does Drantos rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I have the Kindle edition of this book as well and it was a bit easier to enjoy listening to it than reading. I was pleased with the audio book.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Drantos was probably my favorite character in this book. I wasn't fond of Kraven or the girls! Drantos was strong and determined to keep everyone safe no matter what, and he struggled with his clan because Dusti didn't know their customs.
Which scene was your favorite?
I would have to say my favorite scene was in the beginning when both Drantos and Kraven came up to Dusti and Batina and positioned themselves to protect them during the crash.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I laughed a lot during this book. I cried a little too when certain situations because a little too intense and I felt bad for Drantos. He really had a lot of heartache as he was working for his happily ever after!
Any additional comments?
Laurann Dohner has this way of creating worlds and characters who you wouldn't believe existed, blend into modern day society. I did enjoy the history and origin of the hybrids, it was very much fascinating. Just enough thriller as romance in the storyline. Strong female characters as well as the protectiveness traits of the males characters.

Historia
Any couple who spends the night in the Christmas cottage shall have love everlasting.... Lacey Quinn did not believe in happily ever after or the legend of the Christmas cottage. As maid of honor for her best friend, Ava, her duties included decorating the cottage for the newlyweds. It was a simple enough task, but she hadn't counted on sexy Ean Callahan, the bride-to-be's brother, assisting her.

Second chances and a little Christmas magic!!!
Revisado: 12-29-17
Would you listen to The Christmas Cottage again? Why?
I really liked this story and wouldn't mind listening to it again next year around Christmas!! I loved the characters and the story line. The possibility of a Magical Cottage seems sweet regardless if it is true or a an old family folk tale!
Which scene was your favorite?
I really loved the time that was spent in the cottage and decorating for Christmas. All the emotions and feelings came to the surface and it seemed like it was the perfect setting for Lacey's long dream romance with her long time crush, Ean.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes! I would have loved to listen to this book in one sitting, however with listening to it right on Christmas, time didn't allow for it to happen.
Any additional comments?
I plan to read or listen to more of Samantha Chases books!!

Unconventional Love Story or NO?
Revisado: 08-29-12
What made the experience of listening to Fifty Shades of Grey the most enjoyable?
What drew me to this book was not the sex, but the potential of a love story! I loved listening this book because it made it somehow easier to relate to the main character. At first, I didn't live the reader's voice, but the more I listened the more it became the voice of Ana.
What did you like best about this story?
I loved the story between Ana and Christian. They had chemestry and neither could deny it! I really loved the emails between the two!
What does Becca Battoe bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Becca Battoe brought forth the voice of Ana. She read it very much the way I envisioned how the characters would sound. I really enjoyed how she got into the story and whispered when it was stated or giggled when it was written. Loved her!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Honestly, I think I laughed, cried and giglled!
Any additional comments?
This is not a book just about sex, although that is what 90 percent of the book is about! You will fall in love with the main characters and will not be dissapointed! I promise!
