Historia
War makes for strange alliances - and so it is for the free city of the Colonnade, which must turn to the Mother of Nightmares and her dynasty of monsters to defend themselves against the hordes of Chaos. The Colonnade, a free city, is the jewel of Ghur, obsessed with purity in a realm of bestial savagery. But now, it faces annihilation at the hands of an unstoppable beastherd. In a desperate gamble, Councillor Atella Reigehren requests the aid of a being anathema to the Colonnade. She seeks Lauka Vai, the Mother of Nightmares, and her dynasty of monsters, the Avengorii.

Are all Black Library Vampire novels good?
Revisado: 12-05-23
really, I'm beginning to think Black Library can do no wrong with Vampire novels.
lovely characters, Annandale did a positively brilliant job making Lauka Vai feel powerful, when she really not in the book often, you as the reader can still feel her presence. I actively want to build a Soulblight Army now.

But when a desperate message arrives from an old friend, Blackwood is forced to confront a past he thought long buried. Summoned to the isolated village of Wald, Blackwood sets off on a perilous trek to ensure the sins of his former life remain forgotten.

I didn't enjoy. Others might
Revisado: 12-04-23
This isn't Josh Reynolds best work. The narrator was very rough. Seems like this one is rather divisive.

Historia
In the dark corners of the Mortal Realms, the mad and mysterious Gloomspite Gitz go to war, following the trail of their abominable lunar deity. Nowhere is beyond the sight of the Bad Moon—not even those places under Sigmar’s protection, like the sweltering city of Draconium. Beneath the scalding rains of Aqshy, the city is a boiling pot of tension, its regent praying to Sigmar for guidance while Watch Captain Helena Morthan douses the fires of anarchy: blades drawn in the streets, heretical doomsayers preaching the end of days, and insects eating watchmen alive.

Last of Us: Goblin Edition
Revisado: 11-28-23
A good book, a fun story, but a lot of the action scenes felt like he would write a bit, go play Last of Us for a couple hours, then write a bit more.
Other people may LOVE those comparisons, but as I was not fan of the Last of Us, this book felt much weaker than his other Goblin book, Bad Loon Rising.

Historia
Born the weakest runt of his Moonclan tribe, Zograt was only ever one beating away from a nasty end...until the Bad Moon bestowed upon him its blessing. Now the Clammy Hand of destiny is upon him and back-stabbing grots scurry to his cause, afraid of the vengeances their new boss will inflict with his powerful spells. For every underling he suffocates with noxious fungi, Zograt stages a magnanimous gesture, for he is all too aware of his fragile grip on power.

Historia
It is said that all who live belong ultimately to the Undying King. In the shadowy lands of Shyish, Nagash, God of Death, calls forth his soulless legions to reassert his dominion. His dread advance begins with the free city of Glymmsforge, bastion of Azyr in the Realm of Death. Standing between Nagash and his prize are the brooding Anvils of the Heldenhammer, an ancient host of Stormcast Eternals, and Lord-Castellant Pharus Thaum, guardian of the Ten Thousand Tombs. As battles between the living and the dead rage throughout the Mortal Realms, the War of Heaven and Death begins anew.

I dig this world, and there are characters I am interested in. however, the writer's style is very dry and descriptive, to the point of unenjoyable.
