One of the best Joseph FInder's novels I have read.. The story was simply banal in the first chapters focusing on Tatyana's simple beginning until the plot builds up and becomes more complicated delving into the adventure and misadventures of Paul Brightman. He is no ordinary character in the league of Jack Ryan Jr. but I was fascinated by his down to earth resourcefulness and his daring, risky encounters with the Russian mob and FBI/CIA agents. The last few chapters were unexpected and I liked the way the book ended. This book was worth listening. My 12-hr flight to the far East made my time more rewarding.

The narrator did an excellent job. Five stars for him. The story was hard to grasp in the beginning but as you dive down the middle and onwards, it gets clearer. Though quite unbelievable, it can still happen especially for those with dark scheme. I have been a fan of Harlan since my kids were in HS and are now approaching mid 30’s. I hope he writes a few more Myrons before passing the baton to his “son”.

This book keeps on showing up on the bestseller list and I got intrigued. I like police procedurals and spy novels the most. Switching gear, I tested the water on entirely new genre. Freida Mcfadden’s style is very unique. The plot seems simple in the beginning but as you finish one chapter, the interest builds up page by page. Her way of depicting the character seamlessly weaves into the story. I fell in love with Millie right away from the start just knowing how she had gone through rough times and still remain full of conviction to beat the odds of survival. Nina is so cunning with her own personal vendetta and I admire her endurance till the end. Audible’s choice of female reader is outstanding and it took me less than 36 hours to finish this book….On to book #2

I have not been impressed by most of JPs co-author but my interest is back with Brian Sitts. I hope these duo will continue to write further sequels. The readers like me are quite lost during the first few chapters but as the plot thickens, I started to like the villain (Meed) and "poor unfortunate and helpless fella, mister professor Savage. Introspectively, I look at myself as also that aging guy sitting most of my day in front of my computer, lacking in exercise and very much helpless except for my shrilling shout if I get abducted. I wish I have that same formula that Meed had injected to him so I can also rev up my adrenaline to "just do it" and have a makeover of my physique.

What reminds me of that training camp is the Meadows in Hanna (the Amazon TV series} where girls are programmed to train but cannot escape the facility or else. It is nice that there are two plots dovetailing the story so we can understand where Meed is coming from. Maybe in the next episodes, the authors would tell us where Meed's fortunes are coming from. Her wealth appears to be bottomless but how can it be possible. With her persistence to train the professor, he is just one lucky dude that he was able to morph into a killing machine despite his ingratitude to her.

Again, I enjoyed listening to this book and I like the choice of the readers Joshua and the monotonic but seductive voice of Suzanne

This is a very complex plot, typical of Harlan's style. The central theme roils around the manner of disappearance of the secondary character with initials of PB, whose DNA matched with Wilde. I like how the author built up the personality and ingenuity of Wilde. Despite living by himself for so many years out in the woods of New Jersey, he has molded himself into a fearless, strong man with so many talents. With Wilde's resourcefulness, he was able to piece up the possibilities to help solve the puzzle of PB's mysterious life. The last pages of the book opened many doors that are left unanswered and I would like the author to work on the life of Wilde's DNA-matched parents.

So far this is the most interesting Bourne sequel and Brian Freeman has the palimpsest of Mr. Ludlum. I had entirely lost interest after listening to the few Bourne Series by Mr. Lustvader due to simply nonsensical and ridiculous plots and monotonous audible reads. Frankly, those sequels were lurid injustice to the Borne Identity.
Thanks to Scott Brick for bringing back the thrill and the adrenaline surge to the fans of Jason Bourne.

I like the choice of Mr. Freeman's heroine, Abigail. You cannot find a better persona to pair with Jason.

I don't now what drives them to impeach this President? It's all a farce. We are One nation Under God and I am very disgusted with these clowns who meant to bring down our President who is trying his very best to Make America Great.

I got hold of this book the day after my friend's daughter's wedding in Baltimore. We had a get together and I can't recall how the Deep State discussion spilled out from nowhere. Upon arriving home, I bought this audiobook (and 4 more Deep State-related books).

The far left and the Dimms have gone so deep that the only color they know is green and greed. We have been misled to believe that there is a Trump-Russian collusion but almost 2 years of digging the dirt and after spending millions of dollars, Mueller, Comey and Rosenstein are still gasping to show up with evidence. The unredacted truth is that the real collusion was between Hillary and the Russians When she facilitated the Uranium1 deal during her stint with the State Department. The deal enriched the Clinton Foundation with millions of dollars without regard to the lives of innocent Americans who are victims of collateral damage. This book also delves deeper with Clinton's dirty Saltwater deals that resulted in one of their friends committing suicide, Hillary and his husband had numerous hidden deals discussed in this book in order to enrich the bourse of the Clinton Foundation, how the HSBC avoided a hefty penalty due to the intervention of Comey and Lynch despite HSBC's dirty hands in facilitating the money laundering of the Mexican Drug lords.

I applaud our president for draining the swamp in Washington. I regret that taxpayers' money is being used to finance this absurd Investigations in the house of congress with grandstanding appearance of all those key players from FBI, DOJ and NSA. Its time that we the deplorables should make a deafening noise to shield the Tsunami of fake and negative news coming from media controlled by these Deep State actors.

I have been a fan of Brad Meltzer for several years. I like his plot and unexpected endings and his ability to expound some topics for extra lesson and enlightenment.

In this book, I liked how he built up Nola's persona from her youthful psychologically scarred beginning to how she is now as depicted in this book. Some dialogues in the latter part of the story are just not physiologically possible especially when she started losing blood from high powered encounter with the villains. Mr Meltzer need a little refresher course In Anatomy and Physiology. When she got hit with a bullet under the clavicle she should have been sucking air and won't last another hour. When she got hit on the shoulder, she could have lost a major artery or damaged the nerves that supply the arm that incapacitates the function of the limb. When she continued to lose blood from the 2nd major encounter, her critical thinking and thought process would have been severely compromised.

Overall, I liked the book and enjoyed the whole plot.
I also give 10 stars to the Narrators. Scott Brick has been my favorite since Audible was not Amazon's and January Lavoy's multiple characters in James Patterson series.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely. I don't know why this book is getting a poor rating but the plot is so carefully contrived. I commend David Ellis for masterfully drawing up a puzzle and keeping us hanging and guessing who the real villain is until the end. It's Agatha Christie-like style in my opinion.

What about Therese Plummer and Jay Snyder ’s performance did you like?

Therese Plummer's performance is exceptional. I'd like to hear her again in future editions.Jay Snyder is okay but he needs a little bit more "brute, angry voice" when need be.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Cant put down.

Any additional comments?

Somewhat gruesome and gut-wrenching way of describing the murder. Not for the faint hearted readers.
