I always enjoy AnnPatchett’s work made all the more indelible by Meryl Streep reading and performing all the parts. I just finished on my morning commute and I am depressed that it’s over. Lovely tender story which mirrors the story of our Town at its heart

I will be doing only one stage of the Camino in Spring. I am unsure if I can do that much but this story makes me want to try more than ever and somehow makes me believe I can go back again to do more if not the whole thing. Beautifully told and did such a splendid job of creating a sense of place along the way AND I learned of some things to pack! Thank you.

I first listened to the podcast based on this book and with each episode I said aloud in the car “Holy Shit”.
Just finished listening to the entire book. The stories are gripping and horrifying, shocking and I hate to admit also entertaining dropping the listener into a world both all too familiar AND unbelievable. This is an epic Hero’s Journey by Farrow - one of the most important of events, and books of our time. Gratitude to Farrow, McCue, the New Yorker and THE WOMEN!

Super sorry when this book was over. I appreciated the full hearted, humanity and truth of Chelsea’s telling in the writing but also in the reading. I’ve always appreciated her astute, sharp, smart take on the world, now even more so. We’ve all been formed by something along the way, the unearthing is always fascinating even when it is grueling and painful. Thank you.
