Historia
Leonardo da Vinci, Niccolò Machiavelli, and Cesare Borgia - three iconic figures whose intersecting lives provide the basis for this astonishing work of narrative history. They could not have been more different, and they would meet only for a short time in 1502, but the events that transpired when they did would significantly alter each man's perceptions - and the course of Western history.

Great narration, pronunciation, and biographies.

Although this is another biased opinion about the Borgia family, I did enjoy it. Also, I did enjoyed the names of the important figures, being pronounced correctly.
Good for those who don't know much about Leonardo Da Vinci, Niccolo Machiavelli, or Cesare Borgia
Those who liked this book, should try "The Life of Cesare Borgia" by Rafael Sabatini. For an unbiased look upon the Borgia family.

His vengeance against the gods of Olympus years behind him, Kratos now lives as a man in the realm of Norse gods and monsters. It is in this harsh, unforgiving world that he must fight to survive...and teach his son to do the same. This startling reimagining of God of War deconstructs the core elements that defined the series - satisfying combat, breathtaking scale, and a powerful narrative - and fuses them anew.

Excellent story.

The narrator for this book, is the very same voice actor who voiced Mímir in the game. Very well done.

Historia
Originally written in Icelandic in the 13th century AD by an anonymous author, The Story of The Volsungs is a legendary saga based on Norse mythology. The epic describes the legendary history and heroic feats of several generations of mythic Viking families and derives from many sources, including preexisting Edda, or heroic poems, Norse legends, historical events, and orally transmitted folklore. The saga is imbued throughout with themes of power, jealousy, love, vengeance, and fear.

Decent, but..
Revisado: 11-06-20
I loved the stories, as I always do with Norse mythology.
However, Old Norse is a highly inflected language. And an understanding of such things needs to be taken into account before choosing a narrator.
"ð" this is pronounced with a soft "th" sound. like in the words "Weather", "Then", "They", et cetera.
"þ" this is pronounced with a hard "Th" sound. Such as in the name Þorr ( Thor ) The word "Thanks"
Those who would like help with such things, need to check out Dr. Jackson Crawford. Or Peter Kenny.

Very happy the story isn't over. This is a must have in any true Witcher fans collection. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Also. For those starting out on the Witcher books; I'd recommend starting with this one. As this is a prequel.
Although, those who have read all of Mr. Sapkowski's works, will have some laughs as well.
