Historia
Oklahomans have long been known for their fatalism and grit, but even old-timers are troubled by the twisters that are devastating the state with increasing frequency. On May 20, 2013, the worst tornado on record landed a direct hit on the small town of Moore, destroying two schools while the children cowered inside.

Tornado, anthropomorphized
Revisado: 11-24-21
The author consistently applies human intent and attributes to a phenomenon of nature, which I find truly annoying..
Compounding this is a significant overuse of emotionally charge verbiage.
This aspect ruined a what could have been a good story.

Historia
Michel Paradis’ Last Mission to Tokyo, a “superb” (The Wall Street Journal) and “engrossing...richly researched” (The New York Times Book Review) account of a key but underreported moment in World War II: The Doolittle Raids and the international war crimes trial in 1945 that defined the Japanese American relations and changed legal history.

Bait and switch
Revisado: 08-17-20
I was drawn to the book by the topic, reviews and summaries of the book. But starting in Chpt 1 the author chose to emphasize the Mormon religion. Glaringly out of place . Chapter 2 continues the Mormon religion.
Not the topic where I’d expect or want this kind of content - so detailed on the case of the Mormon aviator but none of the other fliers that it seems the author’s sole intent is to proselytize, which is sad as the rest of the story needs telling. Returning for credit.

Historia
A promising young singer is found dead in a clearing in a forest, gruesomely murdered—her larynx cut out, and an antique music box placed carefully atop her body, playing a mysterious lullaby that sounds familiar, but that no one can quite place. Chief Inspector Odd Singsaker, of the Trondheim Police Department, still recovering from brain surgery, is called in to investigate.

Good mystery, poor narration
Revisado: 05-14-16
The story is very good. Unfortunately the narrator has chosen to represent the Norwegian accents which should be found in this translation with British/Irish/even some Scottish accents. Very disconcerting.

Historia
A blessed event becomes a nightmare for pregnant homicide detective Jane Rizzoli when she finds herself on the wrong side of a hostage crisis in this timely and relentless thriller. A nameless, beautiful woman appears to be just another corpse in the morgue. An apparent suicide, she lies on a gurney, awaiting the dissecting scalpel of medical examiner Maura Isles. But when Maura unzips the body bag and looks down at the body, she gets the fright of her life.

Very disappointing
Revisado: 10-25-05
This is the first of Gerritson's books I downloaded, and compared to the other authors/readers I have listened to, this book has got to be one of the worst. I find the narrators voice to be grating, to the extent that I probably won't even finish this book. This is the first book I have gotten from Audible that I haven't enjoyed. Very disappointing.
