Shut up and give me murder!!
Revisado: 09-24-23
The truth is stranger than fiction, indeed. Deputy Dog may have a better chance at solving some of these horrific murders! it's a conundrum as to whether laughing out loud is morally wrong to the victims and their families or incredibly deserving to the dumbasses who commit the crime. The humor is in the presentation by James and Jimmy, not the malicious act the stories revolve around.
On a side note, I've learned that every single town, no matter the size, has a festival and/or parade to celebrate the most obscure people, events or so-called claim to fame. this show is absolutely addictive! Most of the content revolves around criminal stupidity presented in a quick-witted, sarcastic fashion by the hosts. if you question the morality of the content, don't listen!.

Twist I didn't see
Revisado: 03-15-22
Fantastic narrator. So many characters I often found myself confused on who was who, then add in full names and nicknames and I was really lost. Aside from that a good listen.

Interesting in relation to the current pandemic!?
Revisado: 08-18-21
I love Koontz and have been reading his books for a long time. This book is frighteningly similar to the pandemic going on now, although it was written in the '80s. It revolves around a manmade virus of biological warfare from Wuhan China! I am not a conspiracy person....but wow!! 👍

Love Koontz, this one's hard to follow
Revisado: 07-15-21
Sooooo many characters, 1 even had 2 names. I love Koontz, but like Stephen King, too many characters are introduced and described in detail at once. it's hard to keep up with who's who...but I'm still intrigued! have only read the first book in this series and ready to start the second.

Lost my interest a third of the way in.
Revisado: 03-29-21
The name and the jacket cover sounded very interesting but I was sorely disappointed I think the narration had a lot to do with that, since I was listening and not reading I can't say what page, lol, but my interest was lost a third of the way in. That being said maybe it got better. I was confused and unsure of which character was which, (again, a male reading in a female and a little girls voice without the proper inflection affected the context for me. There were too many storylines, characters, names of towns and streets and places in Missoula, Montana, (where oddly enough, my husband is from!) but do we need to know the name of every gas station and it's employees? I guess it depends on your preference.
