Acerca de esta escucha

"Born of fire and shadow, Isabella’s children—an incubus and a dragon—ignite a destiny that will plunge them into a war of demons, betrayal, and unimaginable power."

After leaving hell, courtesy of Yeshu’a, Isabella enters the Celestial City. Pregnant by what she believes is a demon and a fire dragon, the people of the city are not kind nor receptive. In despair, Isabella determines to abort the infants until Lucifer offers her an option that gives her hope.

Isabella gives birth in a world far away, and raises her twins. However, once they reach the teen years, life seems to turn into a nightmare. Her son, Blaze, is an incubus, while her daughter, Kaida, can change into a dragon, and does - flying over the town - terrifying people. Isabella calls for help, but Lucifer learns she’s flown the coup, literally.

16 years earlier, outside of hell, another daughter, Isadora finds a way to leave the prism, and meets not only Blaze but Kaida on a mountain. The two girls make their own plans for life, one is to help in the demon war they hear is on the way.

Using her dragon ability to transport, they leave Naiad 1 for Naiad 2 and find vampires, werewolves, and the demons they were so curious about. Kaida's brother shows up to add to the intrigue. What awaits the two girls is something neither could have imagined in their wildest dreams, and it will change their lives and that of at least one demon.

Review of Children of Fire

Post by Emeka Emordi of OnlineBookClub

Children of Adonai: The Fire Dragons [is a book with] many qualities to love. The story borders on magic, fantasy, religion, war, and romance. I love the way the author uses religion in a creative way. The way she depicts hell and other unconventional places stimulates my imagination.

I loved reading about the strange and bizarre experiences that the major characters encountered, the conflicts created, and how they got resolved. Filled with many adventures, it continues in a sequel titled "The Spirit Fire."

The scriptural quotes used to begin each chapter of the book were an added advantage, which I loved. They instilled in me hope as I read them and influenced my thoughts in a positive way and also taught me virtues such as forgiveness, love, and steadfastness from the characters' experiences.

The concept of how God is portrayed as a God who has all events in one's life planned out and turns bad situations into good [while] the lessons I learned from it I likened to things happening in our real world and personal lives.

The unpredictability of events also kept me on my toes and eager to know what was coming next. I must say the ending was quite unexpected.

Each character acted out their individual roles quite well. The characters that appealed to me most were Isabella and Isadora. I loved other characters, but these ones specifically made me feel certain ways towards them. Everything Isabella went through made me feel empathy for her as much as I admired her strength. I also loved Isadora's boldness and self-control, which she proved in many situations like when she was seduced.

The demons are the villains, were well-developed characters, and I could really feel their antagonistic tendencies and behaviors. Also, I liked how the author portrayed Lucifer as a repentant fallen and hence one of the leading characters.

Although it seemed to be a religious book, the romance and sexual romps added some spice to the story.

I recommend Children of Fire: The Fire Dragons by Brandy Marks to readers who love books on fantasy, religion, and magic. This book will really appeal to their taste, and they will enjoy reading it.

Impressively, the novel was exceptionally edited. I thereby rate it five out of five stars because of the good job done by the editors and the reasons mentioned above.
