This book is one of my all time favorites. From the first time I read it when I was 16, this takes it to another level. Katie has an amazing way of just sucking you into their world. The narrator was spot on, such emotion.

I wish the narrator had kept Christian and Sebastian's accents. Changing narrators doesn't mean the character should lose part of themselves.

This one of my favorite Dark Ones books, it's funny, full of action and impossible situations

Nell and Adrian, the byplay always fun to listen too

What does Hillary Huber bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I've read this book, several times actually since it's one of my Katie Macalister favorite. Thought I had a few hesitation at first getting to know the voices created for beloved characters, I had so much fun once the action started.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Betrayer or Betrayed or The cursed one

I've been hoping for years for this one, I'm very happy of the result so please more Katie Macalister, The Corset Diaries next please, then Hard days knight and Blow me Down, those 3 are the best, I would also love to hear Noble Intention and Noble Destiny.

I was delighted when I found 3 new Katie MacAlister novels to indulge myself with. Without a second thought, or a preview, I bought all three. I started with this book because it seems that there is no loss of story line whichever way you consume them. However, when I started listening I had an inverse reaction to my original one of delight. Katie should have stayed with Barbara Rosenblat or, in the very least, Nicole Poole. Katie's story line is either watered down or it is another crime to be laid at the feet of Ms. Huber. Hillary Huber merely "phones it in". Her cadence, attempts at accents, and character differentiations are abysmal. Listen to this book only for continuity in the Dark Ones series. Katie: don't use this narrator again. Hillary: pick a different profession.

This is the only book in the series that I listened to. Mainly for the review that I read about the book.
