Rick has a hard time hiding his joy when his father, Dave the Magnificent, dies. Unwanted by his celebrity parent unless it was as a publicity prop, the soon-to-be-21-year-old Rick is ready to collect his trust fund and move somewhere out of the public eye.
During the funeral, he meets Heather, the 30-year-old struggling actress who married his much-older father right before he died.
