Hayli and Sebastian
This was a dark, hot, smexy book. Sebastian was a possessive, sexy man who practically took over Hayli's life. He wanted her to depend on him. He had someone (he knew the person) attack her so he could play her savior hoping she would be indebted to him. It did not quite work out that way. Hayli was stronger than she seemed. This was a good book that I enjoyed. Jack Calihan did a great job with the narration, both male and female voices.

consequences
From the start I knew I was going to enjoy this book. and it goes in stages and there's a lot of twist and turns but both parties actually have their own issues.
I do recommend this book and it promises not to disappoint.

1. I admire the narrator. 2. The author's research on the location is impressive. I've lived in Boise and the Treasure Valley area my entire life, and my mother's family resides in Oregon. 3. The MMC/FMC features an age gap, enemy-to-lovers trope, spicy content, and an alpha male. I appreciated that the book combined all three stories. It's undoubtedly a dark romance, far from a vanilla romance. Sebastian, the MMC, is a compelling alpha male driven by a desire for revenge against Hayle's father. A surprising plot twist unfolds in book three.

Dark Romance
This was a dark romance unlike I've ever read/listened to. The MMC is using the FMC as a tool to get back to her father for what he feels is revenge for his mother's death. Along the way, they fall in love but she finds out about his revenge plot and her trust is shattered. She runs from him as he is following her anywhere from literally 1 step to 1 month behind her. There is a HEA at the end but not in the way the reader expects and I'm left with the knowledge that the end is nothing short of what both MCs deserve. The story is solid and the author masterfully crafted and told the story to lead the reader where they wanted them to go. I took a star off because some of the story was just too unbelievable for me, especially when the FMC was running for a year.

This dark romance was intriguing. Innocent Hayli was lied to and convinced she was loved. She was betrayed by her betrothed. When she discovers the truth, she flees. The endingvwas a surprise.Jack Calihan narrated very well.

This man's voice is like steamy hot lava🔥🔥🔥
So, honest review? I absolutely loved Sebastian and Haileys story! they had some hot chemistry and the man who narrated was amazing! Def give this one a listen if you're considering.
