“Please,” she blurted out and sank to her knees.
The gaze of a hulking brute fixed on her and she couldn’t bear it. She closed her eyes tightly and brought her hands up in prayer. It was the end. She was sure. The change in climate hadn’t only brought the frigid conditions down from the northlands. It had brought a legend as well, which now loomed over her in the bedroom of her home.
“Please,” she let out again in a whisper as she waited…
Memories of earlier in the day flitted through her mind. That included being teased by her friend about only having a vibrator in her life, but that wasn’t what the night was going to bring. She’d also dismissed Bernadette’s comment about good men being out there. It wasn’t a man who’d come into her life though.
The Yeti didn’t want a relationship. It didn’t want small talk and a romantic connection or any arguments. There was clearly only one thing on its mind. It wanted a female to mate with and it had found her.
She flinched when it reached down, but all that happened was the hood of the coat that she still wore was dragged down. Its stubby fingers brushed the hair away from in front of her face. The fear was still there, but other emotions were at play now as Eleanor looked up.
The Yeti pawed at the front of her coat, but it couldn’t get a good grip on the zipper. Eleanor grimaced when she heard the growl. It wasn’t threatening though. At least, it didn’t feel that way to her. She considered what to do, but there really was no choice.
That wasn’t the only reason she gave in though. Stronger emotions came alive, and she felt the flutter of heat from below…
“Oh god,” she let out again, but dragged off her gloves then grabbed at the zipper of her coat to drag it down…
