Leigh Strokes is the leader of the Femme Noir in the South East and Crime Scene Investigator for the Baton Rouge, Louisiana task force. She is met with a quandary when a rash of slayings plague her hometown. Tying the pieces together becomes a bit of a challenge when one of her own thwarts her efforts to get to the bottom of things. However, Leigh is tenacious, looking deeper than most would, finding the clues hidden in plain sight, and seeing it through to the end.

Most would not argue that there are consequences of childhood bullying. As the trauma continues, and to a more serious degree, the damage, there is virtually no way to stop the inevitable.

Atonement demonstrates a conflict of this nature, the victim taking things entirely too far. Although an extreme example, this story will both entice you with its erotic elements and challenge everything you know about a bully victim.

Unique and tragic

This is one of my favorites. Unique and full of tragedy. Loved how gopHER was pronounced. Nararrator did well with multiple POV voices.
