Having always had an interest in the speculative, I began my quest to pick up where the masters of fiction had left off. From the comforts of retirement, after attending to the important errands every retiree must contend with, I fuel my imagination by closely monitoring world events, especially the disclosure of what had once been top-secret information. UFOs, Ancient Civilizations, Time Travel, and, of course, the intricacies of human nature all have a place within the hallowed pages of my novels. Yet it is within each of my literary works that I place 'threads of interest' (Easter Eggs if you will) that interlink particular characters from one book to the next—just a little something that I happen to find ever so appealing. In continuance of my endeavors, having already completed my Neuphobes Series, and then helping to co-write the Oliver Cash Series, I now find my creative abilities called upon by yet another aspiring young author--this to assist with her follow-up of a most rambunctious debut novel. {There will be more on that partnership in the weeks and months to follow} Now, it has been brought to my attention that when it comes to writing, one of my signature techniques is my blending of the mundane with the surreal. For me, there can always be an extraordinary association between the two. In all honesty, I was inspired to think this way by watching countless episodes of The Twilight Zone. I just can't seem to separate myself from such, as is evidenced by the second book in my Neuphobes Series entitled “From Whence They Came.” Subsequently, if anyone ever wondered what the state of one man's mental health could possibly be after returning home from living in an alien metropolis for ten years, "Mind of a Madman" more than answers that question. However, it is a further recent work that contains no aliens or flying saucers within its pages, but rather a more relatable exaggeration as to the dystopian society in which America currently finds itself. And it is from within this very similar political arena that the impetus for Oliver Cash’s writing of “2025” was born. This short novel is set apart from the Neuphobes Series, though it perfectly portends the state of humanity during those gray days of the world's end, just before the aliens appeared. It's political satire taking the current sociological environment and expounding upon it just slightly into the future, resolving the political unrest now ravaging our country. The only linking phrase between this book and the last one in my Neuphobes Series, “The Living Reminder,” is the Libertarian Extremist Directive, for It is this key phrase that launches the entire dystopian landscape, aptly phrased as The Divided States Of America. Yet this prosaic piece does not conclude my foray into our nation’s political folly. A second and third book complements the first, further informing readers of the spiritual demise of the first book's author, while ultimately preparing humanity for the intervention of the Galactic Federation. “What Is To Come” and “All Will Be Revealed” will no doubt have every citizen of our great planet singing the praises of Oliver Cash as he leads humanity out from beneath the cloak of socialism and into a sparkling new reality of freedom and justice.
