I read Lord of the Rings as a child. The wonder and escape were like nothing I had ever experienced. I developed a voracious appetite for fantasy and owe many thanks to the influence of the late Terry Goodkind, Terry Brooks, Raymond E. Feist, Tad Williams, J.K. Rowling, Robert Jordan, and David Eddings, to name a few. Fantasy can provide us with simple entertainment and escapism, but it goes deeper than that. It provides different perspectives, explores themes such as the power of friendship, love, and honour, evokes a sense of wonder, lets us partake in adventures we can only dream about, and teaches us valuable truths to apply in our own lives. More importantly, it allows us to imagine. Albert Einstein said, “Imagination is more important than knowledge.” I have wanted to write this series for a long time. It returns to the roots of the pure, epic fantasy I grew up with. I have had the good fortune to achieve the highest success in life, but more importantly, the lowest. The latter is a better teacher than the former. I draw from a rich well. I will let you know that beautiful people exist at both ends. Remember, we are all in this together. The weapons master once said, “Everything you want is on the other side of fear.” I took his advice and put pen to paper. In essence, I broke through my Wall. I hope this book provides all the benefits mentioned above, and more. I never thought that writing fantasy would be more rewarding than reading it. The inspiration and creativity I experienced were more than I could have dreamed of but made possible because I learned how to imagine. I hope this story connects and makes a difference in your life because, after all, I wrote it for you. Sincerely, Terry Ironwood Terry values privacy and resides with his family in Canada. He holds multiple university degrees and is interested in the science of self-improvement. He is equally fascinated with physics and spirituality. Terry believes in an ‘attitude of gratitude’ and is grateful he can write full-time. His dream is to help others reach their full potential.
