Transylvanian born Teodor Flonta is a retired academic, author of two memoirs about life under Communism in the 1950s and 60s. The first memoir, "A Luminous Future. Growing up in Transylvania in the Shadow of Communism", is the story of a child and his family in a Stalinist Romania, when his father was declared an "enemy of the people. "Paper Rings", the second memoir, is the author's love story with a beautiful Italian girl during Ceausescu's dictatorship, when contact between Romanians and foreigners was not allowed. He now lives in Tasmania, Australia, with his wife, Ariella, surrounded by beautiful grandchildren.
