I wanted to be a writer ever since I was a child growing up in a small town on the eastern shore of Maryland, with a booming population of 75 people, three million chickens, several dogs, and my two imaginary friends. I put that dream on hold to pursue other things I loved, including traveling to all fifty States, living abroad in Romania and Hungary, and visiting a host of countries and six continents. I'm holding at six continents--with no desire to add Antarctica to the mix. I've had five books published in a variety of genres. A Cold War Trilogy (One Degree of Freedom, Two Lights of Hope, and Three Colors of Courage) is historical YA fiction, set in Cold War Romania. Sentenced to Life is the true story of a prisoner whose sentence far outweighed his crime. We Wait You is a memoir of my years as a missionary in Eastern Europe. My husband and I recently relocated from bustling San Francisco to a sleepy town in North Carolina, where I obtained a Master of Arts in Writing degree. I am a member of Redbud Writers Guild and SCBWI. I've come full circle, minus the imaginary friends, that is.
