Stacey Cochran is a multi-genre, award-winning writer, filmmaker, producer, and academic. His career began with an honorable mention for the 1998 Dell Magazines Award, and in 2004, his novel Culpepper was a finalist for the St. Martin’s Press/PWA Best First Private Eye Novel contest. His short stories have appeared in CutBank and North Carolina Literary Review, and his early fiction—The Colorado Sequence, Claws, The Kiribati Test, Chromosome 4, The Loneliest, and In Love with Eleanor Rigby—became some of the most digitally downloaded works in the world. In 2015, his novel Eddie & Sunny was one of the first acquisitions by Kindle Press. A film adaptation starring Gabriel Luna and Joanna Vanderham premiered in European markets in 2022. Cochran made his directorial debut in 2023 with the Summerhaven series, which will be released on streaming platforms in 2025, alongside a Kindle and Audible short story anthology series. His 2024 novel Jordan Version 3.2 reached bestseller status internationally, and its feature film is in development. He also launched The Last Memory of You on Kindle and Audible with an upcoming streaming adaptation. Stacey Cochran is an Associate Professor at the University of Arizona, where he earned his Ph.D. in 2022, specializing in education policy and cultural change theory to support human potential, self-actualization, and socioemotional well-being.
