S.F. Bennett has, at various times, been an actor, a lecturer, a journalist, a historian, an author and a potter. Whilst some of those things still apply, she has always been an avid collector, concentrating mainly on ephemera and other related items concerning Sherlock Holmes and British science-fiction of the 1970s. To date, she has written articles on aspects of the Canon for 'The Baker Street Journal', 'The Sherlock Holmes Journal' and 'The Torr', the Journal of the Sherlock Holmes Society of the West Country. When not collecting, she can be found writing science-fiction and mystery stories, and has contributed to several anthologies of new Sherlock Holmes pastiches. Her first novel was 'The Secret Diary of Mycroft Holmes: The Thoughts and Reminiscences of Sherlock Holmes’s Elder Brother, 1880-1888' (2017). She is also the author of ‘A Study In Postcards: Sherlock Holmes in the Golden Age of the Picture Postcard’ (Sherlock Holmes Society of London, 2019).
