Rollan Seisenbayev is Kazakhstan’s most celebrated and honored author. He played a prominent role in the emergence of Kazakh independence in the aftermath of the breakup of the Soviet Union and was a personal advisor to President Nazarbayev in the crucial early years of the 1990s.
