Markus Esser is an author and Virologist with years of experience in the public health sector. Having worked in countless countries across the globe to help fight infectious diseases and stop pandemics in their tracks, he has a comprehensive knowledge of the way viruses function. After returning from Africa, where he studied the Ebola virus, Markus turned his studies to the lab, working on coronaviruses including the flu, SARS and MERS. Now, he hopes to use his writing as a way of arming people with practical ways to keep safe and stay calm in difficult times. He currently lives in New York, where he’s working to fight Pandemic on the ground.
