I am a semi-retired English and Music teacher and am extraordinarily proud to have produced/published my first full length novel. My second is completed and will be available very soon, and ideas for a third and fourth are already noted. I have been writing short stories and poetry for many years in between my busy life as an educator, musician, student, wife, mother, grandmother and excitement seeker. My life journey (so far) has taken me through two marriages and given me seven children. It has now landed me in a happy place with a loving partner, a few extra children and grandchildren and the luxury of time to do what I enjoy rather than that which I must! Kittens, puppies and grandchildren enrich my life and provide endless hours of fun. I was born in Hertfordshire, UK, where I resided until recently moving to Northamptonshire, and for many years I performed regularly with Harpenden Light Operatic Society, playing many leading roles. This gave me great insight into character portrayal and enabled me to put my feet in other people’s shoes. An invaluable experience for a writer! Music (mainly classical) has been a large part of my life, both listening and performing, and it provides a backdrop to many of my memories whilst inspiring my future too. My teaching and youth volunteer work have provided me with many opportunities to learn from young people; from little children to young adults, and they continue to help me to expand my horizons in many ways. As I reach the ‘Autumn’ of my life, I feel fortunate to be able to continue to enjoy my many hobbies which include craft-work, reading, writing, music, amateur operatics, walking, animals, swimming, boating, and travel. All of which contribute to my writing and all of which, I hope, you will experience through the words which scamper across the pages as my thoughts manifest themselves in the characters who people my stories.
