I began my career as a public speaker and motivational speaker in communities and schools. I served my local community in areas wherever I felt there was a lack or need that was unresolved. I write poetry, speeches, songs, novels, novellas, website content, Ebooks, and even wedding vows. My creative approach—no matter the genre—is to find points of tension behind the ideas I’ve been assigned or am interested in. I do several iterations on each genre and usually end up refining the one I find most challenging. For me, creativity isn’t about boundaries, but rather, a way to arrest the audience. It’s a way to plant a little bit of desire in their hearts; a yearning to turn the page and learn more about the idea. Ultimately, it’s about creating memorable images.
