Gemma Jackson describes herself as an Irish Nomad. She has been around the world several times. Both backpacking and in great style. Gemma has danced with movie stars, met royalty and enjoyed the best cup of coffee of her life with the homeless in Denver, Colorado. Life has kicked Gemma in the teeth and kissed her, through it all she grins and gets on with it. From her purple hair to her fat feet Gemma believes in enjoying life. Through Streets Broad and Narrow is Gemma's debut novel. After 25 years of trying, she has finally succeeded. The story of Through Streets Broad and Narrow is a work of factually based fiction. Gemma was born in the area of Dublin known as The Lane. The area that features in her debut novel. She has taken the stories she grew up listening to and turned them into a story that is beginning to delight readers. I have photographs attached to this page. One is of my favorite coin - a ha'penny. Isn't it pretty? We felt rich when we had one of those in our little hands. There is also a photo of Stephen's Church steeple. Readers will know this street as the one Ivy uses to enter The Lane. An old photograph outside the Shelbourne Hotel, readers will know this place. There is a portrait photograph of me as well. Purple hair and all. I will update this page from time to time. It's difficult to talk about yourself and what you are doing. But I'm learning.
