Orthodox by religion, Greek by blood, and American by upbringing. Dr Pete possesses a wide variety of entrepreneurial experience and international perspective. After graduating from Juniata College, majoring in Biology, Dr Pete moved to Athens, Greece to work for an international shipping start‐up, Atlas Maritime. While Peter worked there, he headed numerous initiatives and projects which took him to represent the company in London and Dubai. While he was with the company, Atlas Maritime grew to possess 6 oil tankers transporting oil around the world to all the oil majors. Dr Pete then moved to Poland and taught English to business executives and employees at Orlen Refinery in Plock, Poland. All the while, Peter had founded an international charitable organization known as “St. Paul’s Fellowship of Labor” which recruits volunteers to travel to Greek Orthodox Monasteries and Convents to complete labor intensive services projects in seven countries around the world. The nonprofit will be completing its 18th year in 2023. He completed his MBA in 2011 in Supply Chain Management at Penn State SMEAL and after graduating opened Silver Lining Chiropractic and Wellness Spa in Bellefonte, PA. After two years of management, Peter realized he wanted to be more on the patient side of care. He enrolled into an allopathic medical school at GCSOM in 2013. He finished his studies in 2017 and started residency in the summer of 2017 in the field of Emergency Medicine at Geisinger Medical Center. Pete is an avid Rugby player and represented Greece's National Rugby Team in 2015. Dr Pete completed his training in Emergency Medicine at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pa. In 2020, Dr Pete moved to Harrisburg, Pa. With his wife, two sons, and two daughters. Peter is enjoying life in Harrisburg and is the medical director of the emergency department for UPMC Carlisle. He is the author of two books including "The Athos Diet" and "The Red Dragon Who Was Always Scared."
