Dan Sullivan began writing fiction about the same time he learned to write. From an early age, he loved writing adventure stories. Growing up in the mountains of Northeastern Oregon, he was able to create many of his own adventures. Dan spent much of his youth with his friends and family exploring the remote wilderness that surrounded his hometown of La Grande. After graduating from Oregon State University, he worked for three years in Seattle and Portland before quitting his job and spending three months backpacking around Europe in the early 90's. Returning from Europe, Dan moved to Boise, Idaho where he went to work in the banking industry. Dan earned his Scuba Dive Master certification in the late 90's and spent several years traveling to Fiji, Belize, Thailand, Mexico, Honduras, and throughout the Caribbean. He met Amy Walker in 1996 and they were married in June of 1999. In 1997 Dan penned his first novel, he has since published a number of novels and continues to work on several new books. A fortuitous meeting in Key West with singer/songwriter Jim Morris in October of 2000 opened his eyes to a new genre of music. He and Jim became friends and for the next sixteen summers Jim delighted crowds in Idaho with his music. Dan and Jim spoke of writing a novel together, but unfortunately Jim suddenly died before that project could be completed. Dan picked up the novel a year later and with the help of Jim's wife, Sharon, completed Tales from the Land of No Monday's which was published in October of 2017. While writing the second book in the Jim Morris series, The Tales of Tarpon Jim, Dan bumped into singer/songwriter Thom Shepherd after a show. Before their beers were empty, they entered into a joint venture and co-wrote New York to Montana, a novel based on Thom's song by the same name. Dan continues to write both his own stories and help others achieve their dreams. He lives in Boise, Idaho with his wife Amy and their two children, Abigail and Kevin.
