Anne-M. Keßel studied at the University of Cologne (philosophy & German literature) and at the University of Television and Film Munich (screenwriting). She has been working full-time as a screenwriter since 2014. In 2018, she was nominated for the thriller "Nackt. Das Netz vergisst nie" for the German Television Award in the "Best Book" category, and in 2021 for the Grimme Award in the "Fiction" category. The crime thriller "Gefährliche Gischt" is her debut novel. "Tödliche Strömung" is now the second case for her German-Danish investigative team.
