Registered nurse and committed home cook Anastasia Myshuk is the author of Mediterranean Diet 101. As a cookbook writer and food enthusiast, her goal is to connect readers with delicious and healthy recipes born out of Mediterranean cuisine. Anastasia was born near the northern part of the Black Sea, where she was immersed in a range of cultures from the Mediterranean region. Growing up in such a beautiful and hospitable environment with easy access to fresh, wholesome ingredients influenced her journey as a health-conscious food enthusiast. She has spent her whole life experimenting in the kitchen and refining her family’s favorite recipes. Her career as a nurse has given her over 19 years of experience in critical care, surgery, and cardiology, fields which have further deepened her commitment to eating well and fueling the body with the nutrition it needs to stay healthy. However, her love of cooking and exploring new recipes has meant that she’s committed to creating recipes rich in flavor, enhancing each ingredient to bring out its very best while nourishing the body. Anastasia is a mom of two and loves traveling and experiencing new cultures – especially their cuisines! She comes back from every trip inspired to cook new things and integrate different cultural traditions into her cooking.
