About this listen

Can Ivy survive her own wayward heart? Sometimes life throws a spanner in the works.

So, what can you do if you get given a bad start? Are there really second chances? Velvet Ivy knows all the answers, that's for sure. She's been there and done that, even bought the god-damn T-shirt, multiple times. Now, she's working for herself. And not just to make do, either. This time around she's got a real dream to follow. She's going to make something of her life.

She's gorgeous. She's sexy. She's a top-of-the-line lady if you want to party at the Palomino. Aha! This gorgeous platinum blonde can hold her own against anyone. And even the toughest bikers do as she says, period. But has Ivy found something even more dangerous than that? And is it really possible to find a love that is real and meaningful in the open Nevada desert?

Maybe her crazy world will catch up with her, instead. It's hard to know for sure. So, what on earth will she dream for? And who else will come along for the ride? One thing's for sure, Velvet Ivy is going to rock the heart of Nevada. Ready, set...let's ride....

Boring

Could not visualize the story. Narrator was putting me to sleep. I just didn’t like it.

Romance? I think not. Mostly tragedies.

This was the most depressing MC romance I’ve ever listened to. In addition, the narrator read the book instead of preforming it. There was no HEA and there is a cliffhanger. The Heroine’s entire life is tragic. She grows up in foster care, is abused and neglected, gets pregnant and the father bails, her child is severely autistic and is not capable of having a relationship with her, her daughter lives in an expensive treatment center, the Heroine has to be a sex worker to support her daughter and one of the two good things that happen to her is snatched away from her. This novella left me feeling like crap. Don’t waste your time.

Choppy

The story while very good plot was very choppy and very hard to follow along. Many parts of the story could have been expanded upon to allow the story to flow better. Other parts just skipped around to much to follow correctly. I loved the main plot of the story but again these areas hindered me from enjoying the full book. I loved Ivy and the characters but wanted more for their story development.

WTH?

This book leaves too many unanswered questions. Did Ivy ever get divorced? How did the Snakes know Ivy’s connection to Arsenal? What was Diana’s purpose if Ivy was scheduling the girls and Damian was bringing in clients? Why were they only charging 30 an hour?
