A day of play is Brad’s plan - to seduce, excite, and pleasure his new wife into a state of passionate frenzy that will culminate in a delicious end when they eventually collide their heightened lust. Until then, Brad intends to tease his wife with voracious edging and explosive orgasms as many times as he can entice her to. It’s an all-day sex game that starts with the kitchen sex challenge, which each partner intends to win.

fun and games

You get exactly what you ordered. Two adults playing games for their own fun and amusement. Ruan Willow made the book sound fun and light. Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy this audio production.

I was given this review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

The Edging Challenge

This was a short and rather eventful reading, as our main character and her husband enter a teasing challenge where Anna has to endure a remote controlled sex toy in her husband's hands while still making christmas cookies.... in January! As it is a challenge, winner takes a prize and being a lustful couple that they are, it's a very kinky prize.
It's a funny read, full of intense moaning performed by the narrator and it as a sense of thriller as I'd find myself trying to guess which of them would loose the challenge.
While not exactly necessary in this genre, I did appreciate having a bit of backstory to Anna's personality and past life. It broke the continuity of sex talk and moans, but in a nice way.

Fun story, poor narration

Our heroine is getting a little frisky with her new man and he certainly knows how to work with that. Is she going to be up for the challenge?

This is a short erotic story. The story is well written with two fun characters and a pretty straightforward plot. The action is fun and steamy between two consulting adults. I would really enjoy this story in print or ebook format.

The challenge I had was with the narration of the audiobook. While the narration was clear and easy to understand, it was also very slow and precise. It sounded like she was reading a children's book, which rather defeated the purpose.

So while I recommend the story, I do not recommend the audio book.

ok

This book is so dumb it is funny. I would never think about adding my kitchen utensils to my sex play. This book gives a person something to think about.

A Culinary Flop

I’ve previously listened to several of Ruan Willow’s podcasts and enjoyed them quite a bit. I wanted to enjoy her latest audiobook, but… sadly, no.

The story itself was middle of the road erotica - neither great nor terrible. The writing was descriptive and made it easy to picture the scenes, but it just wasn’t hot to me. YMMV.

What I really had trouble with was the presentation of the audiobook. Now Ruan has a very unique, upper register voice to start with, and in her podcast it comes across as pretty sexy. But in this book she further raises her voice for the female character to a range more appropriate for a children’s cartoon character, and her lowered voice for the male character just misses completely. I also had to boost the playback speed to 1.3x just to hit the tempo of normal speech - maybe she was going for “dreamy?”

I’ll keep listening to the podcasts, but I cannot recommend this book.

I received an free review copy of the audiobook in exchange for my honest review.
