About this listen

Step into the Honey Club, where every sensual boundary will be tested in search of the ultimate pleasure....

Branch doesn't exist. Living off the grid, he's looking for a way to forget his past and the guilt that plagues him. But no woman has ever been able to bring him to the edge he craves.

After a traumatic experience of her own, Evangeline stepped away from the decadent world of the Honey Club. But when she gets Branch's offer - to play without boundaries or commitments - it's too tempting for her to refuse.

As their passion ignites, Evangeline and Branch push each other to their farthest limit, fulfilling their darkest desires while falling harder and deeper than they ever imagined.

Absolutely amazing!

Branch was so damaged but Angie was determined to “win” him. He was so determined to leave her. The push and pull of this book was delicious. There was moments you wanted to cry and laugh and shake them both. You definitely connect with the characters. There is humor and love throughout. I love the writing style of this author and the narrator brings another layer to the characters I feel in bringing them alive.

A total delight on audiobook!

Second in Ashley’s Honey series, this book shows Evangeline, Domme extraordinaire, getting back into the life after suffering a huge deterrent over a year ago. Branch, alpha male and sexual submissive, agrees to play with Evangeline in private after having her sign an NDA. I just finished listening to this audiobook and I’m pretty sure I spent hours and hours in my car with the volume turned down low so no one outside could hear the spectacular BDSM scenes from the outside. I couldn’t stop listening to this book wherever I went; Evangeline and Branch consumed my entire life for a few days. The series picks up again in May with the last release (Sixx and Stellan’s book), and after finishing The Farthest Edge the wait might just kill me.

2nd Book a lot better than the 1st...

This one was so much better than the first book in the series. The Farthest Edge centers on the relationship between two very reserved people. Branch is a hero you can easily fall for even though he is closed off and reclusive, but there are good reasons for this. He is also self-assured, caring and definitely knows what he wants and under Evangeline's persistence and attention they are both likely to fall because the bond that forms between the two may start off as extraordinary sensual, but it slowly turns into so much more. Evangeline was trying to find herself again after a long term relationship with her boyfriend/sub turned horribly wrong. Evangeline was the very opposite to Branch. Warm and nurturing, to his coldness. And they worked! They completed each other perfectly.

As an erotic romance, you should expect abundant amounts of kinky sex, but if you strip that away you get a satisfyingly sweet and tender romance. I loved that this book was more about the relationship between the couple than about the club. For me, the Domme/sub scenes felt more real too; not sure if that is because they were in her home or her playroom at home, but they just did. They were connecting more with each other and it was nothing for Branch to flip the switch during a scene and take over and she would automatically let him and she would sub to him to finish the scene. I loved that. It was passion and heat of the moment and it showed his true alpha side.

As far as narration; I did not really care for it. The voices she used kind of annoyed me; her normal voice while she just read was the only decent voice. Unfortunately, she narrates all of the series so I will just have to get used to it. Plus, it is read in 3rd person and I prefer 1st person POV.

Loved It!

Evangeline has given up BDSM after a former lover snaps and brutalizes her during a scene. It would take someone special to pull her back into the life. Branch is a submissive, but he never really obtains pleasure as he tries to have the demons that haunt his soul beaten out of him by a variety of mistresses. Branch is skeptical that Evangeline is what he needs, but Evangeline knows what she wants and Branch is just the guy to make her take a second chance.

This audiobook definitely took me to the furthest edge! I wasn’t sure I was going to like this story. I’m always a little apprehensive when the story deals with male submission. Author Kristen Ashley succeeds spectacularly in mixing this alpha male and his submissive needs. This book is way hot and explicit. You pretty much have to be okay with sexuality on all levels, because anything and everything short of homosexuality goes in this book.

The Furthest Edge is the second book in KA’s most daring new series. This audiobook which clocks in at 15 hours and 29 minute pushes the boundaries. One thing that hasn’t changed is Kristen ability to write a deeply touching story with characters that you truly grow to care about no matter how flawed they are and trust me they are seriously flawed!

In real life is there such a person as Branch? It’s fun to imagine, but I’d put him in the same category as the Abominable Snowman, I’ve never seen one but I can’t say one doesn’t exist.

Narrator Lizbeth Gwynn fully voiced the entire production and she does an awesome job with all of the characters in this book. She has an edge to her voice which works well with this type of story.

Great book! I was even surprised at how well the narrator preformed it. I am blind and depend on a good narration to really get into a story and this was fantastic!

don't listen to this read around just any one!!

this series ... a bit taboo ...but interesting ... try listening 2 it if you so desire ... found them on Audible ...the last 2 books in the series ... interesting characters ... for some reason i prefer book 1 over the last 2 ...but for me I am really wanting to get to listen to book 2 in the The Hookup (Moonlight and Motor Oil Series Book 1) ... such a great book ... i wonder how Kristen Ashley keeps it all straight in her mind she is always jumping around with different books and genres ... she must have a very very creative mind that never sleeps??!

I'm liking this series

I guess the thing I love most about KA'S book is their uniqueness. I admit I had a little trouble getting comfortable with the idea of a male sub and a female dom. I don't think it made me uncomfortable because it usually is written completely opposite, in this genre. I think it may have bothered me more because I can't imagine myself a dom; but I've adjusted. What I've really began to appreciate is the message that, no matter what two consenting adults decide to do, as long as they are, indeed, consenting and they are totally safe, then more power to them.

I love that this couple finally found their way to happiness. Both the H/h had difficult pasts and both suffered emotional scars but they found their way to the light. My only wish is that there were more books available, in this series, so I could go straight to the next book. There is explicit, unconventional sexual acts described in great detail. Therefore, if you cannot handle that, pick another series to read.

Loved it

Loved the story, enjoyed the sex scenes and can't wait for the next book. As always KA can deliver a story even when the subject can make some people uncomfortable.
