About this listen

Seven years ago, Brandon Hastings and Katie Raymond had a relationship that other couples envied. They loved each other more than anything, but one lie ruined their relationship forever.

Now, Brandon is the CEO of the company that Katie works for and she is finding it hard to be around him without wanting to touch him and be touched by him. Katie gives in to one moment of weakness with Brandon, and he reveals a secret that breaks her heart once again.

Katie is determined that she will not let Brandon break her again and they go back in forth in a mouse and cat game that has them both wondering what's really going on. Just when Katie thinks she can take no more, one more secret is revealed that will make her question everything she ever thought she knew about Brandon Hastings.

This is part two in a three part serial. Mature content. Recommended for 17+ due to mature language and adult situations.

Pretty Good Read.

A game of love with twists and turns, deceit and lies. Very short but enjoyable read.

Meh

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Not really- the plot is schizophrenic

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Cliffhanger

Do you think The Ex Games 2 needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Could have done with being one book rather than 3 bitty ones

WOW!

So much better than book 1! OMG... I need book 3 like now... I knew Brandon was up to some shady dealings...OMG>>>

I so wanted to slap Katie, b/c she constantly let Brandon screw her over, and I literally mean screw her over! After the trip to NY, Katie should have been done...but OH NO... she comes back then hides under his desk after Brandon, yet again screws her over! What... then the ending.. Seriously!!!!!! Boy... please let Katie gets some good ol' fashion cum up'ns against Brandon...just once!

Narration, again was ok... nothing super great...but nothing horrible.. Male voice are better than female voices.. Females are a bit whinny...

Great sale or buy...not credit worthy...well it is, but don't waste a credit on this...it's so cheap!

Huh?

I think I mistook the author for J.S. Scott. I was like this is not like her other books. It’s like when go to the grocery store knowing you wanted a box of wild rice and thought that’s what you picked up then get home and see it’s cilantro rice. R.I.F. reading is fundamental. I likely will avoid the authors other work but I have to find out if the four end up together and who the father.

The Games People Play

J.S.Cooper beings Katie and Brandon forward seven years. Katie has just completed college and grad school and has thoroughly researched companies to bring herself back into Brandon's life.

Katie learns Brandon is a father and back together with his first love, Marie. Marie is listed as Brandon's fiancé.

Katie and Brandon have a hard time staying away from each other. Does Brandon forgive Katie for lying to him? Can Katie get Brandon to forgive her because they can be really cruel to each other.

J.S. Cooper does a great job showing us the hurt between Katie and Brandon. Also the cruelty and loneliness Katie feels every time Brandon wants to slam that nail into Katie. Oh, the pain..., will love finally prevail in the 3rd book?
