About this listen

Brent is a jock; Logan a geek. These men are a world apart. But if opposites attract, maybe it’s the differences between them that make it worth the fight.

Brent Kelly is a laid-back electrician whose only concerns are drinks with friends and which man to bed next. In need of a new accountant to sort out his nightmarish shoebox of tax receipts, he’s referred to Logan Willis.

He doesn’t expect to be intrigued by the science-fiction-loving, geeky guy with dark-rimmed glasses and a blue TARDIS shirt. So his fascination with the soft-spoken Englishman surprises him, and their mutual attraction is completely unexpected. He most certainly never expects to fall in love.

One a jock and the other a geek, both men know the differences between them are vast and could cause problems. But in this opposites-attract erotic drama, maybe it’s the differences between them that make staying together worth the fight.

Opposites Attract

This is one of those stories you wonder if it will work. The opening was a bit slow, but the overall story was outstanding. As with all Walker novels, the reader (or in this case listener) can feel the emotions flowing through each character, and celebrate when their love blooms.

Loved as ebook and audio

Everything about this short love story is perfect. The MCs are even damaged, but that's not the focus. The focus is on what makes them better together. And I don't think you can ever go wrong with this narrator. He makes it all seem easy in that organic way.

I love this book

I loved this book, Nick J Russo has my heart and almost anything Walker writes I adore. This book was just too damned short! I didn't want it to end...but I must say it still felt complete.

Taxes and TARDIS is one of my favorite N.R. Walker books. It’s really hard to pick an absolute favorite, as she is such an exceptional writer. I was happy when I discovered that the audiobook was out and couldn’t click fast enough!

I enjoyed every single word of this audio. Nick Russo did an amazing job with all of the characters and really brought each of them to life.

I highly recommend this book. If you get it, you will not be sorry!!’❤️❤️❤️

Love Brent & Logan

Taxes & TARDIS was one of my earliest books by NR Walker and it was always one of my favorites :) Brent and Logan are perfect together and a true opposites attract type of romance. Brent is an electrician who needs an accountant to do do his taxes for the year so he shows up at Logan's office with a shoebox full of receipts. He thinks he's going to meet an old fuddy-duddy accountant and instead meets adorkable, handsome Logan with his cute British accent, glasses, and TARDIS blue button-down shirt. From a lunch date to more, both men have to figure out how to make their relationship work despite the differences between them. Nick J. Russo is one of my favorite narrators and he does a fabulous job bringing Logan and Brent to life :)

Excellent story + dynamic performance

I’ve loved Brent and Logan’s story for a long time, and to finally get it in audio is definitely my highlight of 2020! A jock-type with a vulnerable side and a horny-yet-still-naively adorable Whovian.. what’s not to love?! (It’s less trope-y and cheesy than I’m playing it up to be 😉) In all seriousness NR Walker does what she always does.. she gives us incredible depth and emotion, yet there’s still laughter and playfulness! It’s everything you could ask for.
Nick did a phenomenal job voicing all of the characters, which is no small feat considering he had to jump between a Texan accent and an English accent for the two MCs. Seriously, he’s a talented man!! He deserves an award. Do they have awards for narrators? I don’t care, just give this man a medal dammit!
Buy this audiobook, you won’t regret it.

What a sweet shout out to Dr Who fans!

I thought this was a fun read. A lot of geek, a bit of snark, and some slow burn. It isn’t the height of literary fiction, but it was a lovely escape on a crazy hot day. A glance of iced tea, a Doctor Who tee (shirt), and a sandy spot by the sea.
And, of course, a couple of cookies out of the TARDIS cookie jar.
