About this listen

If I were to be specific with you about what this story is about, I’d probably get in trouble with the higher ups. So, please allow me to be vague…

Felicity Stiff was not expecting her agent to send her a salacious gift as inspiration for her research project. What she gets is something much more than the stimulating package that comes in the mail.

When she unwittingly releases a 14th century player named Lord Richard, she must learn to let down her walls and receive, while he must prove he knows how to give.

The curse might be broken, but can he prove himself to be Richard and not Dick.

This short 20k word inanimate object shifter romance is packed with funny historical facts, ridiculous euphemisms, and feminist rage. It’s perfect for listeners who loved Unhinged by Vera Valentine and Stuffed by Sylvia Morrow.

Great narrators and funny facts

I was very excited to listen to this one I heard one of my favorite people was reading. If you have not check out unfortunate reads for similar fun book recommendations. This was already on my list to read thanks to her.

Both narrators did a great job and three contrast in styles made it clear and easy to tell the characters.
Everyone loves a good rake.

The story itself was funny and raunchy. I know there are a few of us out here who would love to be the witch to give similar punishments to teach a lesson so a fun little chance to fulfill a fantasy.

Honestly would love to read the book Felicity was writing as it sounds like a fun informative work but we goat eye lid cock rings.

So fun!

I had so much fun reading this book and the audiobook was awesome! The narrators did such a great job and I loved the duet narration. It was quick and entertaining. I have been loving Thea’s work and was excited to see she had an audiobook out! Definitely give this one a listen if you liked books like Stuffed and Unhinged.

Ridonculous

Richard is a 14th century lord who’s a total 🐓. One day he crosses the wrong woman and finds himself cursed to exist as a d¡ldo and be used for women’s pleasure the way he used women for his. The curse can be broken, but by means so unconventional that he is a d¡ldo for a very long time. Felicity is a historian who meets Richard via her research on the history of sex toys. Some of that research appears as intros to each chapter. Will Richard learn the lessons the witch has in mind? Will Felicity learn a few lessons of her own?

This book is great. It’s well written, the characters each have their growth arcs, and it is so funny. I would have loved it in text as well, but i absolutely loved the audiobook. The narrators are *chef’s kiss* so great together. This is probably my favorite sentient object book so far. Thea Masen has made it to my must read list, and I will happily listen to almost anything narrated by Richard Pendragon or Unfortunate Reads.

I’m flabbergasted and cackling

Thea Masen is one of my absolute favorite authors for short sweet and spicy novellas. Stiff was no different. A man cursed to be a toy for women’s pleasure until he can learn to be a less selfish lover? Sign me up. Of course it’s INCREDIBLY spicy but it’s also absolutely sweet. The number of schmexy related euphemisms used sent me over the edge. Like WHAT? I could not stop laughing!

I’m impressed that the voice actors could read it out loud without dying laughing. This novella was narrated by two individuals who always voiced their characters dialogue regardless of whose POV was being narrated. I’ve not encountered this type of duel narration often outside of graphic audios, so it took me a second to get used to it, but I enjoyed it!

Spicy Toy Novella

This was a short novella about a man who learns a lesson about giving. After listening to Unhinged, I decided to try this book. Unhinged inspired the author to write this story. It was unique and full of spice. Its also a tale about learning to give and receive. Love the toys. The heroine was more of a doormat than the door in Unhinged. Unfortunately the ending was disappointing for me. In a tale of a woman who learns to ask for what she wants, submission was disgusting. Male narrator was fantastic, he did Unhinged as well.
