Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Story
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he’s alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Story
In the not-too-distant future, a 21-member crew launches from Earth. Their mission: to establish a temporary colony on Mars. Little do they know that colony will become permanent–and the last stand of the human race. Because, without warning, every single person left on Earth simply...vanishes. Now, a thousand years later, the resources needed to sustain life are running out, and the very existence of the Mars colony is threatened. Humankind has only one option–to return to its home planet.

My First Audible Book - Well Done!
Would you consider the audio edition of PBI Case Files, Bundle 1 to be better than the print version?
I have not read the print form, so I cannot give a yes or no answer here. I do, however, know that I thoroughly enjoy audio books and this was no exception.
What does Julie Hoverson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
An extra sense of personality in the characters that can only come from actually hearing their tone of voice and manner of speech.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
There were several instances that made me laugh. Other than that, nothing extreme.
Any additional comments?
Absolutely excellent collection of books! I'd love to listen to the next bundle as well! :)

I love these stories
Where does PBI Case Files, Bundle 1 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I love NCI shows and Criminal minds and all that. I also love me some sexy ghosts :) this is one heck of a series. All the books in this bundle could be just awesome alone, but the bundle is like all your gifts under the Christmas tree!! Awesome awesome set. Jami Brumfield does a wonderful job of capturing your attention right out of the gate and holding throughout her books. She won't disappoint!

A good mystery set
There are about 4 stories that I’m guessing are linked. I loved the cliffhangers and love interruptions; none of that going all in like some books. Mature, expressive, with touches of biblical & mythology. I enjoyed the bundle and look forward to ending(s).

Romance, Suspense, Conflict, and Special Powers..
Any additional comments?
This bundle has a little bit of everything: Romance, Suspense, Conflict, and Special Powers.
- The Beginning
The main leads, sisters Francesca and Sarah develop special abilities in this book.
The sisters meet a Vampire at a club and he developers a "crush" on one of them.
- OutBreak
The second story picks up right where the first one left off.
This book has a few more paranormal beings: shifters, telepaths, demi-gods, and a few others.
Sarah and Frankie, both join the PBI, Paranormal Bureau of Investigation, after realizing that the world and its inhabitants aren't what they originally seemed.
- Lost Plane
This book has several agencies working together to find missing plane passengers.
The girls relationships further develops with the guys.
This bundle is a little less than 300 pages, I recommend it as an entertaining weekend read or listen.
Julie Hoverson did well narrating the different character's voices and personalities.

PBI Case file is for young people (11-15)
What disappointed you about PBI Case Files, Bundle 1?
This series is listed under the wrong category. I was very disapointed. Also it said that this is "Unabridged" I don't believe it. The stories were choppy.
Did the narration match the pace of the story?
yes
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Redundant
The premise of these books sounded interesting, however what I found were stories where the same situations constantly were repeated over and over again. Reading like the repetitious love lives of two young women in their high school dating years, but with a few mild paranormal activity thrown in. By the time I managed to get to the end of these, if I would have had to sit through another discussion, or argument about "but you are my mate!" rejection line, I would have tossed it out the proverbial window! I had to force myself to listen to the end. No surprises or twists to keep this reader engaged whatsoever.

Dreadful story and narration!
Cannot recommend. Will ask for refund. Narration was hard to listen to. Story disjointed. Awful.
