About this listen

You don't have to listen to any of the other books in the series to listen to this one. It's 100 percent stand-alone.

Francesca Virgata wants a mate. She longs for the perfect kind of love her parents had. There's only one problem: She has zero prospects. Thankfully, she's heard of Gerri Wilder, who promises to make all her mating dreams come true.

Theo and Marcus are best friends and share everything, even women. So when they both fall for Francesca, it's only natural they have a friendly competition over who can get the girl. After some thought and a hot little interlude, they realize she shouldn't choose one over the other; they should work together to make the perfect triad. A lion, a tiger, and a bear, oh my!

There has been talk of abuse in Francesca's pride, and she won't tolerate it. She'll fight tooth and claw to ensure all members are safe. But when her brother turns on her, who will protect her? Theo and Marcus will do anything for her, but it might be easier to let them both go than to choose only one of the men she's come to love.

Reader's note: This book is dirty. Very, very dirty. It has bad, bad language and a lot of hot sex. There's sarcasm, fighting, and one sharp tigress who can't choose between a hot lion and a cuddly bear. Maybe she doesn't have to. So if you like menage with two hot men and one curvy girl who gets brought to orgasmic heights like she's the queen of the world, then you will enjoy this. If you don't, keep it moving.

The narration could use some improvement

The narrator for the guys, especially Theo was terrible. I hope they don't use him again. I liked the story though. Just what I expect from her.

Oh, My Roared

I love the lion’s, tiger’s and bear’s aspect of this book that was pretty neat. I also loved that at the beginning of the book both Theo and Marcus have this connection that was really neat. BUT… then we never hear about the connection again and that made me a little sad because it would have totally been hot to have some of that connection going on when they meet Francesca.

Other than that, I really enjoyed how they met, how they all come together though it wasn’t as easy as 1, 2, 3 and that Francesca had to really think about her choices.

Again I LOVED the new narration; he is really starting to grow on me.

love books but the intro to each chapter annoyed

The music between each chapter was incredibly annoying. I love Molly Taidens books and have most and they didn't have the music between chapters. I hope she doesn't do this again! Right off the bat I was annoyed & wasn't sure I wanted to listen too.

Great story, but I didn't like the narrator much,

My final thoughts on this one. I own and have already read this book in ebook format. I love the story, and previously gave it 5*s. When I joined Audible Escape, I discovered that the first 15 stories of the series are part of the program, so I decided to give them all a listen. The first 11 stories were done by Lauren Sweet and, while it took a little while to get acquainted to the voices she chose for each character, especially Geri Wilder, I enjoyed her version of the stories.

The last story and this one are narrated by Joshua Macrae, and I don't really like his rendition of it. He tends to read everything with a breathy tone, over exaggerating every word, pausing far too often during the story. While I love the story, I just couldn't get past his voice. It's like every word is said in the midst of passion and not in a good way. Sometimes his voice sounded like Stephen Moyer's character, Bill Compton, from True Blood, other he sounds like Nicholas Cage. Again, not in a good way. He seems to over exaggerate some moments that really shouldn't have been and didn't put enough enthusiasm behind others. So, sadly, I'm only giving him 3*s.

The story, however, and author, Milly Taiden, get 5*s. The author wrote a phenomenal story. This was the second time in the series that both parties were shifters. Though, this time it's a lion, a tigress and a bear. Marcus (Bear) and Theo (Lion) are best friends and roommates. They both fall for and claim the same woman, Francesca (Tigress), as their mate. After spending the story getting to know each another she have to decide who she will choose. The decision wasn't too surprising but I loved it just the same. I really enjoyed seeing the author put a new twist on something that was already a part of the series. Well done to the author.

Now, you know why this one only got 4*s, because I averaged between the two different ratings. Off to listen to the next book!

Hard to Enjoy but great story

There’s something about the music before ever chapter that takes away from the story. It’s a little too much! Secondly I love the romance but honestly the added sexual violence turned my nose up! It’s hard to be happy when babies are suffering. Sorry this isn’t one I’d re-read. Though I love the triad couple.

OMG! Sooo Good.

I loved this book so much. It has everything, great sex, characters and lots of exciting intrigue. Loved the length, but still wish it was longer. A little more detail into the intrigue and relationships would have been better.

Hard time getting through the book...

I love milly taiden, her stories are great. However, I had a hard time getting past the second chapter because of the narrator. I'm not sure whether it was because the narrator was a man or because of his voice. I will most likely get this as a physical book instead.

A let down

In spite of a plot with two men for one woman this book was a let down. The first reason the story was a let down was the casual treatment of rape within the story which seemed to be a lazy plot twist which didn't enhance the story. The second reason was that the heroin for all her intelligence and black belt was constantly putting herself in situations that didn't demonstrate sound judgement. The most important reason in spite of seeing signs of trouble in an area where one of her men was an expert she never discussed her concerns with them nor did she discuss her concerns with elders.

Additionally, the production was also made annoying by loud non-relaxing music between chapters.
