About this listen

I learned the hard way that being a handywoman isn't easy. The questions, the stares - the assumption that I'm the proud owner of a cock and balls. Not that it matters. I've proven over and over that I'm ready for anything the judgmental asses throw at me.

Except the hot, single dad of twins who just moved to town. Brantley Cooper gets the shock of his life when I show up on his doorstep to fix up his kids' new rooms. His son is confused why 'the pretty lady has a drill,' and his daughter has a new obsession - me. On paper, my job is easy. Go in, do their bedrooms, and leave. In theory, I'm spending eight hours a day with a guarded, sexy as hell guy, and I'm staying for dinner more often than I'm eating it alone on my couch watching Friends reruns. I shouldn't be staying for dinner. I shouldn't be helping him out with the twins. I shouldn't be falling in love with tiny toes and dimpled cheeks. And I most definitely should not be kissing my client. Oops . . . Contains mature themes.

I absolutely love Emma and her strong girls

I loved reading this book which can often be scary when listening to tlistening but the narrator only enhanced it.

Very cute

The cover is a little misleading. But still a good slow burn. Plenty of humor, and the twins were believably adorable. Sometimes you just need a nice feel good story.

So good!

I think it was the 4 year-old twins that made me fall in love with this book. Ellie and Eli were adorable and amusing characters. The dynamic between them and their father, Brantley, was precious. One 4yo is a handful, two is being outnumbered.
Then there’s Kali, the female builder who doesn’t like kids but can’t resist the twins either. Doesn’t hurt that their dad is just as fun to be around.
This story was well-written: a great series of interesting plot points, good character development, and incredible chemistry. Definitely a worthy read!

The twins were an adorable addition!

This was my first novel by this author. I liked the premise even though I think the cover sends the wrong message. The twins were especially entertaining, and the slow build romance between the main characters worked surprisingly well. Kudos to the narrator who did an excellent job animating this story! 👏👌

Funny

I actually laughed out loud several times listening to this book. I have listened to several books by this author, and I have enjoyed them all and so far every single one of the narrators hit the spot.

Loved Miss Fix-it

This was a first listen/read book by Emma Hart and I fell in love with the book and her writing style. It was fresh and new for me and I absolutely loved it! The Characters grew so much in the story. This hit me with so many good feelers. I laugh at the antics of the twins and how down right sweet the trouble 4 year olds got in to. The single dad was swoon worthy and hot! Kali was a spit fire who did not want kids but the 4 year olds quickly have you realizing that life may not be perfect with out them in it.

The Narrator's are a first for me as well and they did an excellent job of bringing the book and characters to life and I will definitely be checking more books out by this author and more by these Narrator's as well!

Miss Fix-It

Okay, this book was just pure fun! Kali makes her living doing home repairs and using her initials so until she shows up the client doesn't know she is a woman. When she shows up for her new job to fix up two kids bedrooms it turns out to be for a single dad of three-year-old twins. These twins are something. Kali never wanted to have kids and wants nothing to do with kids but these kids soon find a way into her heart and so does the dad. Brantley lost his wife when the twins were babies and has not let anyone into his heart since but soon he finds himself coming back to life. Moving to this small town for a new start was just what this family needed and mixing business and pleasure works out too. Definitely recommend this one!

My favorite of Emma Hart's books!

This was my first Emma Hart book and is my absolute favorite. I love this story. A hot, single dad. A Sassy, talented woman. Both think they know exactly what they want out of life. Kali is a fabulous and hilarious character. I love how determined she is to maintain her dislike of kids and family life even as she falls for Brant and the twins. Brantley was a great guy - trying to start over but being outnumbered made life challenging. Neither was looking for a relationship but then slowly fall into one. This is a very funny and heartwarming story.

The narrator does a great job bringing these characters to life - it was exactly how I pictured them!

Sweet with 4 yr old twins that'll melt your heart

Brantley was a superhero, truly! A single dad raising 4 year old twins seriously deserves the title and I love how he was portrayed as a real person; he didn't always have the perfect parenting solution to the issues with the kids. I hate when a book makes the parent seem like they're perfect, always knowing how to handle and perfectly discipline every situation. Brantley was pushed to his limit frequently and while sometimes he handled the situation with finesse, there were also times where he just seemed overwhelmed and had no realistic answer to the problem.
The kids, while being typical 4 year olds and arguing accordingly, they were impossible not to fall in love with. Kali never stood a chance.
